Are TS's or buffets usually quicker? I'd automatically think that a buffet would be since you can eat at your own pace, no waiting for food, but I didn't know if they tend to seat you a lot later than your ADR time or if you still had to wait for a server, etc. Thanks!

IMHO, it's about the same amount of time...you can count on about an hour with either, depends on how fast you eat and how busy the place is.

Not sure why you say at buffets they always seat you later than your adr. That has never happened with us. Infact, sometimes we are sat before our time if we are checked in early.....

But onto your question. I agree with PP, they are both about the same.

Depending on your server, the time of day, what you order and if you are at a character meal...that can all affect your time.

Our rule of thumb is to allow about an hour and 15 mins per meal, whether TS or character buffet. We do not have kids with us yet, so that too can be a factor on your time.

It really all depends. Each meal has different reasons for taking more or less time. If you are going to look at say Boma next to The Plaza, they take about the same amount of time. However, if you look at CP to The Plaza, CP takes a lot longer because of the characters. In reality, you can't really say what is quicker TS or buffet, it really comes down to: restaurants without any sort of characters/entertainment are quicker than those with characters/entertainment.

That hasn't happened to me, I was just speculating ideas why one could take longer than the other and using that as an example.

I think it depends. Buffet can be faster if you only a serving but seating sometimes take a while plus caracter buffets take a while if you want to see everyone as caracters are usually 15min being one an other.. TS, you are at the mercy of waiter, chefs and so on.
