Hi all,

Long time since we planned a WDW trip and I'm ridiculously early looking into this but the excitement of a potential Disney trip has my planning mode in overdrive! :woohoo:

Looking at taking a two week trip with three adults (myself, hubby and my mum) plus our son who will be four at the time. We're hoping to stay deluxe DVC and I'm trying to figure out the cheapest option for that as obviously my mum wants some privacy/space of her own as do we, so a 1-bed with her/us sleeping on the living room sofa is out.

I had initially been looking at the two-bed villas but the cost of them with such a small group is rather prohibitive, even a 2-bed value at AKL. As such I've been looking at getting two individual studio villas, this seems like a much better deal. Is there an even better option I'm looking not yet at? Basically I need a room for two adults, a room for one adult and somewhere for my four year old, probably a sofa bed.

Also, if I were to book two studios, how likely is it that we could get them close together? I've done it before and been next door but did we just get really lucky?

Thanks.

Both rooms would be under one travel plan so you would hope that the room assigner would try to keep you as close as possible. It all depends on what rooms are vacant, when.

It appears that cost and privacy are major drivers for you, so I'd go with the 2 studios.

It probably does not help enough, but since you are looking into a studio for you and child..

OKW, BLT and AKV (except Value category) 1BR's have a sofa sleeper and a pull out chair for an extra bed.

In addition, Kidani and BLT 1BR's have a second, full bathroom (so mum (I love hearing proper english :) ) could have her own)
