we leave tomorrow. Got fans and Frog Towels. What do you often forget that in hindsight you wish you'd brought?

1.Moleskin-I was able to buy it in the gift shop but the price was highly inflated.

2.Dollar store mini expandable face cloths--great to use in the parks to refresh on a hot day(I saw many people using them.)

3. mini kit of
Advil
sunblock chapstick
Imodium
Zantac

Hugs Mel

yup

I have stuff better than moleskin at work and I forgot to get it,ugh. Will stop by the drug store on the way to the airport.

I packed 10 days worth of clothes hoping not to do laundry but in this heat we probably will. I think my suitcase is going to be over the wt limit.

I didn't pack any long sleeve clothes except my beach robe and a wind breaker. Do you think I need a long sleeve shirt? ,y beach robe is black and I figure if I'm cold I can wear that even if it looks silly

power bar for the room, found charging the phones, cameras etc was all spread out

I have $800 in cash to use $80 a day on food which is what the dining plan would've cost us. I think we can do much cheaper because DD still eats kid's meals. My mother thinks I'm insane to bring that much cash. I would use the hotel safe and just take out what I need each day. She thinks I should bring say $400 and charge everything else. What do you think?

I agree with your Mom, I wouldn't even want to bring $400. That's just too much risk that Iwould lose the cash. We charge everything.

Why don't you buy a few Visa gift cards. Not just one, because if you lose it you're out of luck. Or just carry $100 per day, to stick to your budget. I wouldn't carry $400 at a time. You want to protect your cash as best as possible. If you lose a days worth, not a big deal, if you lose the entire trips worth, then what? Or, use a CC and pay it off when you get home, leaving the cash in the bank and safe.

Just some ideas. :D

When we went in 2011, we were able to put up to $500 cash on our room account instead of a credit card for charges. I'm not sure if you can still do this but it could help with not carrying large amounts of cash.

I guess I'll bring $2-300 and charge everything on my credit card and keep all the receipts to make sure we stay on track.

A nightlight. We don't normally use them anymore at home but waking up disoriented in a hotel room, it's always nice to have a beacon near the bathroom. :lmao:

Chewing gum - things may have changed, but they didn't use to sell it at WDW. I like to freshen up with a piece after meals.

For me it was:

- A backpack instead of a purse...between water and other necessities, my little Vera Bradley just wasn't cutting it!
- Misting fan (cheap one from home instead of the ones sold in the parks!)
- A washcloth or towel to wrap around frozen bottles of water and then use on my neck!
- Disney t-shirts! I had none last year but plenty for my second time around!
All these will be packed for this year!

What I learned to leave at home? Makeup and shoes that just aren't comfortable!

We always bring Travelers Checks, but I guess I'm the only one who does that, LOL! We would put like $300 on our room and charge everything to the room and just check it every few days. We would add more $ as needed. With the TC if they are lost or stolen they will replace them. I leave the receipts at home with the serial numbers in case I did ever lose/get them stolen.

I forgot to pack tylenol.

I was so glad I brought a small folding umbrella to use a parasol against the hot sun!

At the last minute I grabbed a silk undercover neck wallet, too, and ended up using it everyday. Just enough to hold cards and cash, comb, hair elastic, phone, and chopstick. I hate carrying a bag when it is hot out.

I carry cash, too.

a light weight cardigan for the plane? IDK, I feel like I've way overpacked.
