on another note.. every yr. my company sponsors a family.. the holiday for me is more about giving

Hmmm. Most years DH and I haven't "gotten" anything except the happy feeling we get watching the kids faces light up over their gifts. A couple of years ago he went all out and spent a bunch of money on me. He got me a glider I'd admired, a fire pit for our patio, pajamas from VS, and a GPS. I usually get him things he needs but won't buy if he has something he can make work (heavy socks, long sleeve shirts, a jacket, etc..) One year I got him a blanket that he still drags with him on worktrips.

This year I'm thinking my Christmas may look like this: books 7,8,9 of Women's Murder Mystery club (I have the first 6, I only like hardback books and I have a hard time coughing up $ for them when there's other things to buy..) I want a gingerbread charm for my Chamilia bracelet and some new perfume maybe. I really want some fit flop clogs so I'll get those but put them up for Christmas. I'd LOVE a Northface jacket for myself. I got the kids one each last year and DSS and DS 11 need bigger ones this year. If these kids would stop growing I could get mine If I have the extra cash I may buy myself one as a "gift". DH hates NF with a passion. Something about lemmings and sheeples LOL I don't care, they are nice So I think having one secretly under the tree and unwrapping it and saying "Oh, baby, you got me a NORTHFACE!!" would be too funny.

Christmas is going to be really tight this year, and I have a feeling I won't be getting much of anything for the holidays. But I did ask for a couple things..

A chair pillow for the bed.
Christmas Carol (Jim Carrey version) on DVD
Shirley Temple DVDs (pretty much know I'm not getting this, DBF hates it when I put on the few on Netflix on )
A set of Flannel Sheets (I know I'll be cold this winter, being from Florida )
iTunes Gift Cards (can NEVER go wrong with these! I refuse to attach my credit card to iTunes, but I love music....always asking for them)


My "splurge" item would be a new camera. I need a new one desperately.....lol


the main thing I want though? I want to find a way to watch my favorite holiday special. It's called The Snowden Raggedy Ann & Andy Holiday Show: A Spectacular on Ice. I've looked constantly for the DVD......but I can only find the VHS. We don't have a VHS player though, so I have no way of watching it.... I just love my special so much....it makes me feel so good
I just emailed Target (it was a Target exclusive) asking if there was ANY way that they can help me get a copy.....

DH and I haven't had the means to buy for each other for the past several years. But this year we do! Our birthdays were in the last month and we just gave each other money (Miche bag money for me/money towards XBox 360 for him).

If he asks my list will be: A piece for my Willow Tree Nativity, slippers, jeans, VS perfume, gold hoop earrings.

I bought him his first Christmas present today and it felt heavenly to know that there will be something under the tree for him this year because it's been tooooooo long!

I want:

• a bare minerals kit, with 2 big foundations and maybe an eyeshadow
• some beads to mix in with my pearls from our China trip to make the necklaces I never got around to
• picture frames
• flower pots
• flower bulbs
• and someone to come help me finish my kitchen project that I'm drowning in and help me tame the yard

(chances of getting this stuff? zero zilch nada because I have to buy it myself and I am cheap! lol)

Spa certificate. Need I say more????

I love going to the spa.

Unfortunately - DH doesn't like to do the same thing two years in a row. So - this is the "non-spa" year. I 'll need to come up with a "plan-b" idea.

How about a Visa gift card...so you can use it at the spa!
