i hardly got any stinging at all. in fact, i don't think i got any. just don't touch your ears without washing your hands. when you first get them done, they'll go a bit red and hot, but it's just because they're not used to the earrings in there. the gun really isn't that bad! just try to ignore it. it just sounds a bit like.. i dunno, have you ever heard someone light a gas cooker before, and it goes clickclickclickclick? well that's the sorta click that it makes, but just once. wht they do is they clean your ear with an antibacterial wipe, and mark 2 dots on your ears (one on each ear) so they don't go wonky, and then when i had mine done, there were ladies on either side, so it was over in like, 5 seconds. max. they normally go 'one, two *click* three' and it's all over. i got mine done in claire's and it was totally fine. i would recommend getting them done in summer, because you can't take them out for 6 weeks, and at my school when we do pe, we have to take our earrings out. just make sure you use the ear cleaning stuff they give you every morning and evening to clear out the gunk and make sure that the earrings aren't stuck (by rotating them) and then they won't get infected and they'll
be fine!
