Not at all - all HP fans have their own wishes for the book types they want and in my mind all are totally awesome. I'm working towards getting a copy of them all from Bloomsbury publishing (i.e. the British versions). I've got four of the books, and two copies of DH (one that actually came from England!!!!!)
I actually want all the books in paperback to read and avoid further damage to my hardbacks.

okay. My friend gave me the idea recently to start saving some of my books for my future children, and it seems like by the fourth installment a kid would really want to take care of a book and that's just the way my mind works yeah...
and I just like paperbacks. There's a kind of honesty to them, like "Yeah, I don't have a fancy leatherbound edition of this book but I love the story and that's what matters."
/extreme pretentious hipster book snob moment
It would require me to hold back any trace of OCD I have. hahathat's actually pretty smart...but it could drive some people crazy having one set of books for safe keeping/decoration and another for actually reading.
All my HP books are hardcover and the original covers except for #6 and it really annoys me.
SameI want to get the British editions of Harry Potter.
I also want the "Adult" versions because I ADORE the covers.

This. My Kindle is my prized possession because I'll never lose any of my books and it's so amazing in every way.
