It's normally the beginning of September. We get 6 weeks of Summer vacation. Actually, a couple of years ago, I think it was 5 weeks (but the year before was 7, so that evens out). I think it's because we have Half Term, which is where we get a week off in the middle of the semester, as well as 2 weeks off for Christmas and Easter.
