Co-write and co-produce a song with us. We can talk about the subject matter, the direction, etc. If you're musically inclined, we'll have you play on the track as well. You are fully involved in the whole process and the song will be professionally recorded and mastered. If the song makes it onto any upcoming records, you will receive co-write and producing credit on the album.* You are also invited to attend any recording sessions that take place for the song where band members are present. Recording sessions are likely to take place somewhere in NY. Travel accommodations & hotels are not included. We can do our best to schedule as many of the sessions as possible at mutually agreeable times. *Couple of things to note: 1) as the band, we still get to make the final call on creative decisions and 2) we're not responsible for paying out any royalties on the song. As many of you know, The Narrative has been an unsigned/DIY band since its inception. The trend continues! Don't fret, there are numerous benefits to being on our own. We get to make ALL the creative decisions. We get to decide how we spend our resources and time. We get to form personal relationships with our fans without some label guy/gal breathing down our necks to be doing something else. We get to choose who we want to tour with and when.

However, not everything involves walking through a field of singing lollipops and dancing cranberries whilst riding majestic unicorn/sea-lion half breeds (which may or may not have the ability to speak to you). It's a great deal of hard work being in a band, and often it can cost quite a bit of money.

About this project
This is the beginning stages of my new project called SPELLS. Its a one-man-band with a unique Indie/Rock/Experimental sound. The idea for SPELLS is to step outside of my normal creative space and comfort zone, try some interesting chord progressions/structures, and experiment with unique sounds and instrumentation over simple well-crafted songwriting.

Currently I am in the process of writing and demoing for the debut EP which will be produced/engineered by my producer Niles. Who is a good friend of mine and has had the privilege of working with many Grammy award winning artists and producers/engineers.

My goal is to raise the funds for the record and begin recording this Winter and release the EP as soon as possible early next year into your hands.

The money that I'm seeking to raise would be paying for all that comes with recording and putting together a record. Such as hiring a Producer/engineer, additional instrumentation, mixing, and mastering.

By pre-ordering the EP you are essentially backing me as an artist without any middle man involved. There is no label or music industry person in between the me and you. The pre-order money goes straight to recording and making this project come to life and ultimately in your ears along with some exclusive materials that come with the different pre-order options.

My hope with music has always been to have a true and pure connection between myself, the songs, and the listener. I believe music has the power to move mountains and can help get people through hard times or even simply provide a soundtrack to their lives. This is why I do music. And this is why I need your support to carry on my dream of making music with intention to make at least one person's life brighter.

**** The $4,500 is the bare bones that I need to cover recording costs. On Kickstarter its an all or nothing deal. If I don't reach the goal, I won't get any of the money raised. However, if I reach the goal and still have time left I can exceed my goal. Which in a dream world, would be incredible and allow me to do even more and allow me to have extra money to put towards artwork/photography and CD duplication.
