Basti war schon immer sehr musikalisch veranlagt, schon mit 6 Jahren hatte er privaten Klavierunterricht. Mit 11 Jahren wollte er unbedingt Gitarrespielen lernen und so brachte ihm sein Vater Grundlegende Griffe bei. Ein Jahr später meldete ihn sein Vater an der Clara-Wieck-Musikschule an. Dort hatte er bis zu seinem 17. Geburtstag erst 2 Jahre Einzel~ und dann, mit seinen Freund Patrick, Gruppenunterricht. In dieser Zeit lernte er bei einer Sylvesterparty Benni und Christopher kennen. Außerdem spielte er während dieser Musikausbildung in der Band „Zahnbelag“ die Bassgitarre und traf auf Igor. Um seine Zeit intensiv für das E-Gitarrenspielen zu nutzen, verließ Basti diese Band schon nach wenigen Auftritten. Basti und Patrick träumten von einer eigenen Band, nur der Schlagzeuger fehlte und Benni spielte ja bei „Distraction“. Chris und er stiegen zum Glück dort aus und gründeten „Madison“. In dieser Besetzung gab es nur eine Probe, weil Patrick zum Bund musste. Eines war klar, „Madison“ brauchten einen anderen Gitarristen, die Wahl fiel auf Igor, Bastis Freund aus „Zahnbelag“ -Zeiten. Später kam Georges in die Runde und alle waren sich einig: das ist unser Sänger!
