I've been reading with semi-amusement various "my trip is ruined" comments that pop up every time Disney makes a change. For example:

• The resort monorails will (may) be down between the hours of 11 and 6 for a couple of weeks - my trip is ruined
• Magic Bands/FP+ will totally change the way I plan my vacation - my trip is ruined
• Fast Pass Return times are being enforced - my trip is ruined
• There will be a no-show fee if you don't cancel your ADR - my trip is ruined
• All the refrigerators must be replaced so there might not be one in the room - my trip is ruined
• They are fencing off the pools and closing them from 11 pm to 7 am - my trip is ruined

Any idea which will be the next policy change to ruin people's future trips?

Here are some trip ruining rumors I've heard from a completely unreliable source:

• MK will start enforcing MNSSHP and MVMCP 7 pm start times instead of letting guests enter the park starting at 4 pm
• Meg Crofton will start announcing the kiss goodnight, in person
• DL and WDW plan to switch castles in 2015
• Starbucks will start serving Nescafe in the MK
• WDW will implement an RFID system that prevents guests from reusing past resort mugs

The only ruined trip is the one that gets cancelled or someone is seriously hurt. Once we arrived at our resort only to find the pool was closed for the duration of our trip. We still had a great time!

• The Peoplemover will now be called "Blue Cars pushed/pulled by magnets"
• The Jungle Cruise will take on a Florida theme and be called "The Swamp Cruise"
• All Resort Soda Dispensers will start dispensing Walmart Cola products

I'm with you on the Pepsi, Jack, but I have to have my Dr Pepper! Not having Dr Pepper or Mr. Pibb (except at AKL) at the resorts has stopped me from getting the mug on many a trip (except when I stay at AKL for Expedition Everest Challenge).

I heard the floats and performers were going to just stand in one place while the guests walked by. It saves Disney wear and tear on the equipment and is by guest demand.

I actually left that one out on purpose Skip. I was afraid it was a bit too raw.

As an interim measure, they will be making towel animals out of paper towels. This is part of Disney's partnership with Bounty.

all of the people who whine and moan about everything that does not suit them will be there while I am there this May..................MY TRIP IS RUINED.

Mark my words! Before the end of the year each WDW main gate entrance will have toll booths with paid admission to enter any area of property. The good news is you'll be able to pre-arrange all entries 180 days in advance using Mickey's very merry-not so scary fast pay pass plus-shipping-and-handling app.

None of these things are going to ruin a trip, BUT, if I paid the money they want at the monorail resorts, and I had a little one that I planned on taking back to the room for naps, and such, I would not be happy. Yes, I could take a boat, or a bus, but I paid to be on the monorail for a reason. People planned dinning around taking the monorail. Easy access to the monorail restaurants. It is not the end of the world, and it really will not ruin a vacation, but step back and think about the reasons some people paid the big buck to stay at these resorts. I feel bad for them.

Sounds like the monorails are back to their normal schedule. I guess folks will have to look for some other thing to ruin their vacation.
