We went to Disneyland in December of 2010, and will be going back in March so I was hoping someone might be able to tell me what new things I can expect to see other then the lack of Christmas decor? I was doing some searching and saw photos of what looked like a new Disneyland parade? Also from lurking I think I gathered that The Little Mermaid ride has opened? When will Carsland be ready? In time for my visit? Are there any events happening at the end of March that might create larger then normal crowds that I should be aware of?

Appreciate any expertise donated to my cause!

Early March through mid-April is spring break season. Since different schools get their spring breaks at different times, some weeks are busier than others. The end of March might be busy but not as busy as the week before and the week after Easter.

There is a new parade in Disneyland that hearkens back to some of the Disney classic movies and music. There will be a different display in the Disney gallery than when you were last there since that seems to change every 3-6 months. There will be a different fireworks show playing than when you were there in December since the December one is the holiday show.

Little Mermaid is indeed open. The Redwood Creek area has thrown out Brother Bear and replaced his show with a wilderness explorer's ceremony featuring Up characters. They have also printed out some maps to distribute to the kids to encourage exploration and give them some goals when visiting the area.

Carsland will not be open yet when you get there. It's currently projected for a June opening, or at least summer. The front entrance of DCA is gutted too, and work will be continuing on that.

Also, Star Tours has re-opened with version 2.0. The DCA Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta as well as Paradise Garden Grill have opened next to the refurbished, re-themed Goofy's Sky School (formerly Mulholland Madness). The new parade at DL is excellent! The Blue Ribbon Bakery on Main Street will be closed and the new Mary Poppin's themed bakery will open in January 2012.

Ha-ha! I can't believe I didn't mention Star Tours. We had to ride it 7 times last month since my sons had been awaiting its reopening so eagerly. Goofy's Sky School is easy for me to forget since I won't ride it no matter what they call it or how they re-theme it. We really liked the Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta place in DCA and will eat there again next time we visit the parks.
