What's new with the Great Movie Ride?

The last day I left WDW, May 12th, or something like that...(It seems like FOREVER AGO ) They said that the Great Movie Ride was being closed for renovations! Cool huh? Are there new movies there or what? I have been meaning to post this for a while, but I kept forgetting!

there have been rumors of a new villians attraction....think spiderman only 3-d all around. CAVE i believe it was called.

I don't want GMR to change! It's 1 of my favorite rides, and definitely the best dark ride in WDW.

I like that ride too. I like how you can how theres 2 parts to the attraction. It really is popular..maybe its just a rumor though.

that is THE ride for Marissa and I...the one thing we are looking forward to riding the most together!
we have the goal of being able to name every movie and every actor at the montage at the end!!


it better not change it...I love that ride WAY too much! espically now with my classic movie obsession...lol

i really dought that they will take the great movie ride away. first of all the whole park is themed around it (mgm is themed as hollywood in the turn of the century) and the great movie ride is themed as one of the most popular sites in hollywood. if they were to get rid of that i would difeat the whole purpose of mgm. so i am sure they will not be getting rid of the ride

Disney has become dumber and dumber! I think that they will do anything to make some more money! and i think that building a new ride will get some more money... even if people dont like it they will still whant to ride it once!

I'm still mad over that...thart as my favorite ride in MK

and of course they have to replace it with a Pooh ride...a character that isn't even really disney!!
the Pooh ride is okie..but it's thesame techinology as mr. toad!

woah woah woah. Disney is only out there to make money? I can't believe it.

They have to constantly keep changing in order to attract repeat business. I guess a ride that is special to only a few will have to be sacrificed in order to attract more crowds.

I really liked the Great Movie Ride. But what i think will happen is they will leave the building and just put the new ride in side. Also my cousins were there in early august and they said that it was shut down and they were going to make a new ride.
