We went to Disney World in 2004. Drove down the day hurricane Charley hit. It was amazing (for a tourist). The parks were empty and we had full run of them. The only bad part was we were in our vacation home (a rental) for 4 days with no electricity...lol. It was HOT and no pool (got dirty during the dtorm). Anyway, we had a blast and got to experience a hurricane.

We're now planning to go back either late this year or early next year but I've noticed some things have changed?

No more park hopper tickets?

What about meal vouchers? Can't find them on eBay anywhere?

Also, I'm having trouble finding any info for 2007 dates. Are any rides closed in January? Whats the weather like that time of year?

We are planning either September or January. Any advice on what month is better?

I'd appreciate any advice. I was an avid member here before we went last time but forgot my login ID...lol. I think it was HauntedMansionFreak.

MYW (Magic Your Way) tix come without "hopping" feature.

But you can ADD hopping to any MYW ticket (any number of days) for a flat rate of $40 per ticket (not per day).

So, a 2-day MYW non-hopper ticket costs "X" but if you spend the extra $40, you can add hopping for both days.

A 10-day MYW ticket costs "Y" but if you spend the extra $40, you can add hopping for all 10 days.

You can buy the tickets w/o the hopping option but you can add it at any time during the life of the ticket (still the same $40 extra, regardless).

And pay close attention to the multi-day MYW ticket prices.
After about 5 or 6 days, the cost of additional days is VERY low ($4-$5 per extra day).

Try www.allearsnet.com, she has a list of refurbished rides, and what is closed, typically in January. Problem with January is that the Christmas decorations are gone, the hours are shorter, and the weather is not usually hot. Of course, if none of that matters to you, it's a great time to go. Don't plan on swimming, though, you just can't depend on it being that warm.

Next spring, you might find a repeat of the free dining offer that went until September this year. It's where you book a room for full rack rate, and you get free food. I believe 1 meal at counter service, 1 at sit down restaurant, and 1 credit as a snack. I suggest going to the restaurant board and click on the top sticky about free dining, you may want to go in September 2007 instead of January. You have to decide what is best for you.

Thanks so much for the info! I'll check out the links!
We definitely want to be able to swim, so we may make it in Sept. 2006 or wait till April 2007. Decisions Decisions!..lol
