We are looking to do a "cheap" trip early next year. Ideally im looking at the last 2 weeks of March (Only so I can celebrate my birthday in WDW!! :rotfl2:). We are pretty flexible on dates/times though.

We have never been this time of year before so can anyone tell me what its like? What is the weather like in March? Is it warm enough to spend some afternoons around the pool etc?

What are the crowds like? From what I can see we should mostly miss the Easter holidays but I wasn’t sure about American Spring break?

Does anyone have any experience on what the flight prices are like this time of year? We are DVC members so we don’t need accomodation, and we have 14 day ultimate tickets for our trip in October which I am hoping to upgrade to AP's.

We went 3 years ago in March. Had beautiful weather. We enjoyed the water parks and the pool (they do heat them just a bit I think). We did have one night that got pretty cool. My mom had went with us and is really cold natured, so she wore pants 2 or 3 days that week, but the rest of us were in shorts and t-shirts all week. Did get cold watching fireworks at MK that one night though. We really liked the flower and garden festival in Epcot! It was pretty crowded, but still manageable! Hope you have a great time!

We were there last weeks of March this year and first two weeks of April.

It's peak price season so WDW hotels won't be cheap, and it was pretty busy.

Weather was pretty good, and I loved the flower and garden fesitval!

i think march can get really busy due to spring break - at least thats what i have read about it when we looked at going in March/april this year. We were there the first week or March last year and it was really cold. I have a lovely piccie of dd in epcot wearing her snowsuit as it was that cold!

Hey Laura, as others have said March can get busy because of Spring Break. I've always fancied spending my Birthday in WDW but the thought of the large crowds and big tour groups is what puts me off (our Birthdays are the same date).

From what I've read, nice weather is not necessarily guaranteed either (I know it never is but it certainly seems more hit and miss in March/April).

As far as flight prices, I wouldn't have thought they'd be that bad if you're avoiding the Easter holidays.

Well the flight prices are looking good! (£440 M+M) so that parts ok.

Can anyone remember what sort of queuing times we are looking at for main rides? We have been at Easter before (years ago!) and had 2 hour queues for most rides!

Can can probably only go between Mid Feb and Mid April next year if we do decide to go at all so, cutting out Easter really limits us to March and end of Feb which will be even colder i guess.
