My parents made 40; DDad passed away the next year. DH and I celebrate 30 next month. We're 71 & 59 so it's anybody's guess whether we make 40 ourselves.
While I have been married 44 years this year my parents will be celebrating their 70thanniversary in October. We wondered for awhile if they would get there because my dad has had some health issues and has been in rehab for 3 months since he fell and broke his hip. He gets out just in time for their anniversary. I think I better get moving on planning a party.
My longest relationship outlasted my parents as my mom died young and my father‘s second marriage didn’t last that long so I still beat him with both my marriage that didn’t last or any friendship I have have - I have a friendship that has lasted over 40 years that more than beats my father‘s second marriage
I do think if my mother was still alive then their marriage would’ve been the longer relationship I truly believe his second marriage was just for I don’t wanna say convenience but more of the fact that he just couldn’t be by himself - but it only seems to make about 20 years on marriage
Ours, not sure how long my parents were married before dad died, but DW and I will be celebrating 52 years the end of September. I know my parents weren't married that long before dad passed away.
My parents were married for 38 years when my mom passed away at the age of 63. DH and I are coming up to our 24 anniversary . We are 60 and 55 so hopefully we can surpass them.
