Just curious what your experience has been. We went late September/early October last year and it was hot and humid. Thought we would try going a month later in 06 :)

We go mostly in the end of October, and the weather can vary greatly. We have been cold, and we have had sweat pouring off of us. But I love being there for the F&W festival at EPCOT so any weather uncertainty is worth it for me. :sunny:

We were there the first of November (last weekend of F&W). EPCOT was an absolute nightmare in WS, you had to have a PS or you were eating CS if lucky! It was wall to wall people, we shuffled along single file around he Japan Morrocco area. We had previously been the first weekend in October and it was awesome. I think the hurricanes delayed a lot of peoples vacations this year.

We were there October 16 to October 19th. The weather was nice. One day was overcast, but not too hot or muggy. The parks didn't seem crowded, but we went in the middle of the week and left on Saturday morning.

Thanks so much for posting this... I've never been in October & we will be taking our DD (who will be 6 months by then) and our neice, who will be 4. My ILs will be going along as well. I've only been in the summer (last trip July 05- DISNEYMOON!!), so I'm excited to experience something new!

We just went October 30th-November 4th and we loved it. We did not have any waitis for the rides(SOARIN had a small wait of like 45 mins, but we just used the fastpass). We went to MNSSHP and we were able to do F&W Festival. Also, on our last day they had already put up most of the Christmas decorations.

We also went at that time this past year. It was our first trip to WDW, so I can not compare it to other times. However we loved it. We had very little wait times and the weather was good. Only rained one day for a few hours. As far as Epcot being crowded, we went through the week and it was not bad. We also went during the night EMH and enjoyed that as well. We did MNSSHP on halloween night and really enjoyed it as well. We will probably do December next time, but just so we can see the Christmas decorations. I would not hesitate to go late October or early November again.

WE did DD B-day Oct 28th -30th MNSSHP on the 28th .we had agreat time even got in AK when we weren't planing to but got so much done during the party we felt we didn't have to go back to MK.

We did DL in june and the weather was simular Sweats in the AM/late PM and shorts in middle of the day so it was also great .

I'm one that just wants to go I've been and seen it all and now really just get to enjoy it all not rushing but never stop moving either. It's nice to not push DW (late sleeper )to get up and get moving now she just meeats up with us.

Were there Nov.3-6 this year. PERFECT! Weather was great, crowds were light, and Food and Wine Festival was delightful!

Is there any "special" groups attending WDW during late October to early November. I had plan a week in November until I found out it was "Jersey Week".

So based on past experiences, would you say that shorts or pants are more appropriate for the season? Also, would it be a good idea for the girls (4 & 6 mos.) to wear light pants or leggings under their costumes for the Halloween Party? They are planning to be Aurora and Tinkerbell respectively, so I'm just trying to think ahead...

We're going October 27-November 4 this year. Dh thinks he will be gauranteed warm weather. I sure hope he's right. We usually go in early December and the weather can go either way!
Can anyone that's been to MNSSHP on the 31st give me any ideas as to crowd levels? The only thing I have to go by is MVMCP in early December; and those usually aren't very crowded. Thanks!

We were there this past oct 25-nov 1 and it was actually a touch chilly the first 2 days we were there (we arrived the day after Hurricane Wilma) I wore jeans those 2 days and personally thought it was too cold to swim (but DH and DS went in!) But it was sunny and we didn't have any rain till the last day.

Epcot WS was jammed the whole time we were there and even with a ADR you still waited 15 or so minutes to get your table. Otherwise it wasn't too crowded.

I highly recommend this time of year!

Hello...we were there Oct 29-Nov 4. It was great! We did MNSSHP on Oct 30 and even though it was sold out we walked onto every ride  We got a great seat for the parade 10 minutes before the parade started. (DH hates waiting for parades) Both DDs got lots of candy. The weather was great all week...not too hot but warm enough to swim and wear shorts. F&W was fun as well. I would try to do that on a week day..I don't think the crowds are as bad. This is officially my favorite time of the year to go to WDW :cloud9:

We went to MNSSHP on October 7th this past year and it was hot! We were sweating up until midnight. It was very humid and looked like it would storm any minute but it never did. We were worried about "Hallowishes" being rained out but luckily we got to see it. I would wear shorts under the costumes. With long pants they will be too hot. If you go the end of the month of October the weather could be cooler. Its best to bring both and decide right before you go into the park.

2005 We also went end of Sept/beginning of October. Weather wise I couldn't agree more, it was practically unbearable! But even worse than that was the crowds! My sister and I went that time of year assuming we were going to have the parks to ourselves, but that was very far from the case! And at the end of October might be even worse still! End of October you're nearing the end of the MNNSHP and the end of EF&WF! So, I bet people are piling in at that time of the year.

BUt as far as the weather, I'dlike to think it has to be at least a little better/cooler at the end of the month than the beginning.

We have visited WDS twice during early November (2003 and 2005). The weather was mid-70's to low 80's, low humidity and very little rain (one day total during the two visits). Temps after dark drop into the 60's, that makes swiming a little chilly but otherwise fine.

We went this past Oct. 29th-nov. 4th and the weather was great. We wore shorts all day. My kids went swimming a few times as well. We used TGM for this trip and we walked onto every ride. I would definitely go back the same time of year.
