Staying at the WL 8/2-7. Thinking of adding another night (checking out on the 8th).

Anyone have experience with this & know what are some of the specifics of adding an additional night? I know I should do it ASAP to guarantee the availability. Would an additional night be added at the price of my other nights or would I have to pay rack rate? Would it be easier to make a 2nd reservation for the "extra" night or would this be a hassle because we may have to switch rooms for that evening?

Is it even worth the bother for one extra day in the parks (to me an extra day is always good!!!)?

Thanks,
Colette

I haven't had any problems with adding days to our trips. The first one we were already paying rack rate though (this was our "pre-boards" trip). Our second trip I added a night and changed our hotel and we still got the DC discount. You should be able to just call and say that you want to add a night at the end of your trip, the type of discount your using (DC, AP, code, etc.) and be sure to find out if the nightly rate is the same. You should receive a new confirmation in 1-2 weeks. Also, I think that if you begin your stay in one season your rate should be the same thoughout the trip (I'm not absolutely positive about this though).
Good luck!!

If you're willing to take chances, you can sometimes get good rates by adding your last day during your trip. Of course, they could be booked, but if they aren't, they'll be willing to get rid of the room for cheap. We did that before. We were staying at POFQ. It was booked because of the marathon, but we got a room at CR for an okay price. I don't remember exactly what the rate was. It was much lower than the rack rate, but not the best rate I've ever heard of.

You could call now and just see what rate they'll give you right now. If it's not good, wait.
