My sister in law is planning to join us for our trip in september with our 2 yr old niece. Our niece has a trachetomy, since, her larinx is blocked 75%.She's having surgery by the end of this year or at the beginning of next year, her Dr has given her the ok to go on this trip. This little girl cannot speak, rarely ever leaves her house,so this trip has to be special.I'm debating between Cindy's(hopefully concierge can get this for us) or Chef Mickey's (she absolutely loves the mouse).I am also considreing Cape May ,but, I have no idea what characters are there. Can you suggest where to go??

The characters at Cape May are Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale. When we were there in June, Minnie did not visit the tables but greeted diners in the waiting area. We have not had the character breakfast at CM but we have eaten at Cindy's. We weren't really all that impressed with the food but the princesses(and Prince Charming)were great and it was pretty cool eating in the castle:D

If your neice is the "girly" type she will love Cinderella's Castle for breakfast with the princesses. Disney characters do a GREAT job interacting with special needs kids, so anywhere you go the characters (as well as the other CMs) will make a big fuss over her!! If you can't get PS for breakfast at the castle, Akershus now has a Princess breakfast as well so that could be an option too.

I would vote for either CRT or the PSB. While Chef Mickey's is fun it can be a little loud and sometimes overwhelming. This would be especially true for a first visit. You may want to ease into the characters and perhaps do Chef Mickeys for dinner towards the end of the trip. Have fun planning!

If you hope to do Cindy's, just don't tell her about it till you have the reservations. That way if you can't get them she won't be disappointed! I bet she would like Mickey's or Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends, too.
