DD9 and I are having dinner at San Angel Inn tonight. She is doing a school project on Mexico, so I figured we would head to EPCOT for some 'stuff' for her culture box - I love the shop in Mexico!!! We have never eaten at San Angel Inn - so I decided to try and get an ADR this morning - luckily they had one for a party of two!

I am really looking forward to this. With the exception of authentic Mexican food prepared by an authentic Mexican friend of the family when I was a kid - the closest I get is TACO BELL!!!! I can't wait to see what selections there are.

Can you say MARGARITA!!! Ole!

try the queso fundido (sp?)as an app. Be aware that it is very filling but oh so Yummy! :thumbsup2

I've had both the Plato Mexicano and the Mole Poblano and I recommend them highly. The Plato Mexicano is a good way to get like a sample platter. The Mole is just YUMMMMM :thumbsup2

I just posted this same question on another thread! We love the atmosphere of San Angel, but when I visited about 6 yrs ago, I was less than thrilled with it. We'll be going again in 3 weeks, and I'd love to eat here, if I knew what was yummy! :p

Have fun at your dinner, and let us know how it is tomorrow! :teeth:

I like the sampler idea, and have always wanted to try mole.... glad I'm eating a salad (Asian from McD's) for lunch (keeping it "international" :teeth: ) so I can indulge at dinner! The fundido sounds great too - (I even know that means Fondue!).

DD is not into 'spicy' so this could be a challenge, but she wanted to go, as part of her research of course. She's taking a tablet so she can make notes... I sense a dining review for the under 10s coming our way!

My favorite thing (besides the margaritas) is the mole poblano! Have fun and let us know all about it.

I can't remember what the san angel name is, but the pork entree was outstanding. The nachos and margaritas are also good. We have eaten there many times and we always enjoy it. Actually..it is the place my daughter chooses to go if I am taking her for lunch.

Thanks! I'm tasting that margarita!!!! Our company IM has a little margarita glass smiley... dis needs one. :sunny:

I'll be buying my Cinco de Mayo Mickey Ears and starting the celebration a week early!

I could make a meal out of margaritas and chips... but since DD is only 9 I have no DD (designated driver!):car:

TTFN! We are :car: to EPCOT to visit Mexico,:boat: :rockband: for dinner!

The Queso Fundido was good but I thought it was expensive for what you got (9.95). It had an interesting flavor, though. Nachos were okay.
