What's Going on First Week of December?

Will the resorts be decorated November 17-22 as well? We like to tour the resorts and see the decorations.

they are guaranteed to be decorated after Thanksgiving.

that say they should be partial - if not completely done by your trip.

This was our first time booking at WDW all together. Months ago someone on here told me I was crazy to think I'd be able to book something (Dec 7-14) at the 7 month window. I blew off that though. Boy were they right. We are in CA and have been setting our alarm for 4:45am each day for the last 3 days. Our home resorts are SSR and the Grand Californian. We were able to book SSR without fail, but it's been horrible trying to get anything else.

We booked our 1st week in Dec. trip at 11 months. I had hoped to move to BWV at 7th month. I was really surprised to see the lack of rooms! I had no idea, either!

We are there the second week in December and wanted an AKV Club Level studio, I had to wrangle to get every day of the reservation right at the 11 month mark. It's such a busy time for DVC I could hardly believe it.

We are going. I was lucky enough to snag not 1 but 2 AKV studio concierge rooms for 11/30-12/5.

We usually try and make a trip to WDW the week after Thanksgiving...tried over the weekend to book for 12/4 - 12/11 (which is a Wed. to Wed. week)....hardly any availability anyplace (except SSR)...no availability for studios 12/3 - 12/6 and then very little for the rest of the week.

Is something going on that I am missing? I looked at a November week prior to Thanksgiving and there was still lots of availability....but DH wanted to go in December. Usually this is a pretty slow week in the parks.

Those are the exact dates that I booked back in January at the 11 month mark the very first day they were available to me. We always go the first week in December and it is always sold out very early on.

If you waitlist, you have a shot at getting what you want. People tend to book at 11 months and then move around at the 7 month mark. It is still early enough that I wouldn't give up hope yet.
