What's going on at Disneyland..

Tine know what's going on at Disneyland the weekend of March 6,2015? Hotels are booked up like crazy! Is it just a normal weekend at Disneyland?

There is a HUGE trade show at the convention center that week/weekend.

It's the Natural Products Expo West Annual trade show.

From what I hear it really fills up the hotels in the area.

We are going that weekend and could only find availability at Desert Inn... and that was at New Years time. Everything else was booked up or crazy expensive!! Hoping it's not crazy, but we are doing a scavenger hunt, and won't be riding too many attractions.

Actually the Tinkerbell Half Marathon is the weekend of May 7-10. So it must be the cheer leading competition and whatever is going on at the convention center.

Thanks...I added it to the 2015 Calendar of events and school breaks post.

There is a cheer competition on 2/28-3/1 and another from 3/20-22. Is there another one on the weekend of 3/6? Any info would be helpful so I can add it to the calendar.

I hear ya! We are going in March and I'm REALLY sad about Winnie the Pooh. It will still be great, but my son is going to miss that one!

Over 60,000 attendees last year and almost 2,500 exhibitors. Last year as we were driving down I-5 to DL we saw so many trucks featuring natural or organic products just before the start of the trade show. I didn't feel it impacted park attendance much, but it did make finding a hotel room harder.

I know Dapper Day has DLR hotels for half price. Dapper Day is March 1, but they offer the 50% off rate through March 8 as long as one of your nights includes the actual DD.

Not sure whether or not that is affecting availability.

ETA: if you want to get a room at DLR for the 6th and have the flexibility to stay longer, you can still book rooms through DD's site and get the room for half price. You would have to start your stay no later than March 1.
