Whats going on at DCA?

We have a family trip planned for Mid October of this year and am just wondering about the construction progress at DCA. Is it just a mess over there? Or is somewhat still worth going to? Have they drained the lake yet? Im just a bit worried, this will be the first time to DCA and DL for alot of my family and I dont want them to be dissapointed.

I'm wondering about this too for our Sept trip,especially since the calander isn't out yet. I read somewhere (???) about the projected start date for the new projects, and it mentioned starting on the Sun Wheel and Screamin this September. Not sure if they'll shut down the rides or if it's more of a "face-lift" type thing.

Oh man Im going to be mad if they shut down California Screaming. I cant imagine them doing that though. California Screaming is one of the main attractions at DCA.
