Whats going on Apr 21-25th???

Looking at booking a last minute trip to Disney Apr 21-25th. Checked online & all the Disney resorts are booked except for the Sawn & Dolphin. I checked around & couldn't find any major event happening - whats up????

I read elsewhere that Long Island and NYC schools are off this week...I would think those dates are spring break for a lot of people.

I don't know how much it affects the resorts, but Disney has Grad Nights on the 18-19th and 25-26th.

We tried to book in February for the same time and were told that our first choice (POR) was already full. We settled for a waterview at CS instead.

Because Easter was early this year, we thought that the crowds wouldn't be too bad in mid-late April. But I'll admit I'm a bit frightened when I hear that the resorts are full.

I'm going that week too. Restaurants have even added extra hours I heard it was most of the NorthEast US that had "Spring break."

I don't think it's the grad nights because those tend to be locals. I guess we're all going to have to get to the parks early

Easter was early this year, but Passover was not. Passover is April 19 and there are a significant number of school districts whose Spring Break is tied to that date.

Grad Nights will add to the complication because there are a lot of schools that go (Even schools here in Edmonton organize trips to DL or WDW for Grad Nights). That's a lot of kids and their chaperones.

we arrive a day before you..I'm crossing my fingers thats its not CRAZY busy!!

I just saw on the main dis boards that there will be cheerleading competitions/displays at Epcot and DHS on April 26 and 27. That may be the reason for booked hotels. I'll avoid those parks that weekend

Not to mention that many colleges and universities will have finals that week and the students may be going for graduation vacations/celebrations!
