What's going on? AP Fall offer today quoting me rack rate? Is it me?

Hi, I think there something wrong with the reservations on line today, or maybe it's me. Could you please tell me if this is happening to you too?
I've been looking for days at the AP prices on line for fall offer, the room only one. They offer 40% off on deluxe. I was interested in Wilderness Lodge for Nov 11-13. The past few days I saw courtyard for $204. The next day I checked back and that option was not available anymore. Ok, I said to myself, the rooms with that offer are sold out, I understand. Today I logged in again thru my passholder link, same dates, same everything, the header on top says "October-December room only passholder offer", but what I see is a list of a lot more room types (that were sold out days ago when I checked) and they were today all RACK RATE! For example the courtyard was $340.
What is going on? Why the discount is not showing up anymore?
Is this happening to you too? Is that a glitch on the website today?
I just checked the boards and I don't see anyone mentioning this problem.
Is it me?
Please help.
Thank you!!!

That's interesting. This morning I called to see if a GP discount had been released. It hadn't but the CM said he was trying a discount code and then he started quoting me prices -- but they were all rack rate. I assumed that either he was clueless or that he was being disingenuous and trying to make me think those were discount rates. I had a spreadsheet with all the rack rates, so I knew what they were. Then he suggested that there were codes in his system that weren't activated yet and maybe I should try back later today or tomorrow.

Maybe a coincidence. Maybe something screwy with the system.

Thank you for replying Tltorrez,
If this is a glitch in the system I hope that they are fixed soon!
After much consideration, I was finally ready to make my reservation today, and then that snafu in prices stopped me in my track.
Hoping tomorrow the discounts are back!

I just tried the passholder site. I logged in as a passholder, entered all my info and submitted. Then it kicked me to another page to submit again but it was no longer the Passholder page so everything that came up was rack rate. Looks like maybe the passholder site is kicking us out to the regular rates somewhere during the process. :confused3

Typically when there's nothing available under that rate it will say nothing is available. Rather than showing you rack rate.

I just checked again and the same thing is happening as yesterday.

After entering my dates, number of guests and preferred resort on the Passholder site, I hit submit and am taken to what looks like the same page I was just on. But if you look closely, it is actually just the regular vacation search page (non-passholder). When I enter everything again and hit submit, I get rack rates. Wonder what is going on.

Disturbing. Is there a way to report IT issues?

I would call and see what rates the internal system gives you.

Is there a special support line associated with APs? That might be your best bet for getting someone's attention.

I've been a passholder for 8 years and what typically happens is the site will show me the nights with the discount and also the nights that are not discounted (rack rate). For example, I got the 40% discount for my entire trip in October when the AP discount was first released. But now when I check my dates, it just shows part of my trip with the discount and part as rack rate. So my assumption is that the discounted rooms are all gone for the 2nd part of my trip, which makes sense because it's fall break for a lot of areas.

I wonder what is going on too.
In my case, when I look at the page, it doesn't look like the regular vacation search page because on top of the rates it's quoting me, it does says "October - December passholder fall offer". So it seems the right AP page but with the rack rates.
Another thing I noticed is that the same problem is not happening for all
dates/ resorts but just randomly. For example I searched the same dates, Nov. 11-13 for Beach Club and it does in fact quotes the discounted rate.
In my countless searches in the past, when a room type was sold out, it just disappeared from the list. That is my experience.
I think that I will book my November birthday weekend at Beach Club, where I've never stayed at, and I am very excited to stay.
The fact remains, though, that there is something wrong happening with the discounts pages, and people need to be aware.
My suggestion is that before booking, have handy the actual rack rates so you can compare with what you are being quoted, and that they are actually applying the fall discount.
Good luck everybody, I hope your dates/ resorts are not part of the glitch.
Thank you for all your replies.
I hope it will be resolved.

It doesnt make sense that it's sold out though, cause for instance when I try 15th to 25 or 26th the rooms come up at the discounted price, but when I try to change it to the 15-23rd it comes up unavailable. Yet if we put 15th - 17th it becomes available at the discounted rate. But we wanted to stay at the GF for 8 nights before moving over to the Beach club.

It was just available before the weekend. But then we wanted too do a 3 day Bahamiam Disney Cruise before coming to WDW so we werent firm on our dates yet

This is actually not unusual. If there is a single night in your reservation that's not available for the discount anymore (let's say a Friday or Saturday), the system shows no availability, but it doesn't tell you that most of the days are available.

but that's not the case here, cause if I book from the 15th - 26th all my dates come up discounted. So the discounted rate for those dates are not sold out yet.

Is a minimum stay requirement affecting your dates? I know they say minimum stay requirements may apply if you check in on certain days, but they don't really get into the details of what the requirement is.

When I was looking at dates for my December trip, there were several times that the weekend showed as rack rates and the discount showed for weekdays only. Talk about sticker shock! I just kept looking until I found a resort I liked with the discount available for all 10 nights. Personally, I wish that it always showed like that though, because it does let you know which nights are the sticking point as far as the discount goes, so you have the choice to modify your dates, or look at a different resort/split stay. When they just come back with no availability while looking at discounted rooms, you don't know if they are sold out altogether, or just sold out for the discount, unless you open a second window and log into the regular booking at the same time. Too much work!

I'm not sure either, but when the ap discounts first came out those dates were available at the discounted rate the 15th - 23rd. But we were contemplating the dates cause we wanted to do a cruise first, so we held off booking the GF.

Funny thing is, if I book the first 2 days the discounted rate shows up, even though it's only booking 2 days. Or booking the 20-25 shows up discounted too :confused3

it just seems like the combination of dates I want is just not available
