What's for dinner?

I'm SO bored with cooking at the moment. Kids want the same stuff week after week that consists of pizza, hotdogs/sausages/hamburgers, a pasta dish, a Mexican dish, and an Indian dish.

I need some inspiration please!

It sounds like you're on the same rotation as us - minus the indian dish!

I'm not sure if it's inspiration worthy, but I made meatloaf with red potatoes and green beans today. It was chilly and rainy here, so comfort food seemed warranted. I also made apple turnovers for dessert.

My favorite at-home meal is something we sort of threw together one day. Can't say that I've ever seen it on a menu but we like it:

Broiled salmon steaks in a teriyaki marinade. Then either pecans or almonds finely crushed and sprinkled on top for the last 2 minutes in the broiler just to slightly toast them. Usually have this with risotto (sometimes a cheese risotto) and fresh broccoli.

You can probably tell I'm no chef. And some will read this and be instantly turned off. But DW and I enjoy it. YMMV.

I made Chicken & Dumplings tonight. Soooo good. It was chilly and rainy and it was good to have some comfort food. Tomorrow I think I will make Spaghetti & Meat Sauce since I have enough ground beef to make meatballs and a couple of pieces of sausage to use up.

This week I also made Chili, and Paëlla.

And I think I just figured out where we want to head for dinner after the game is over! Yum!

Pot roast in the crock pot with potatoes, carrots, celery, onions. This is our winter-blizzard stayed in the house playing board games all day-dinner.

Sheppard's Pie. Another easy one that has simple ingredients most kids would eat.......and it's cheap. We like cheap!!!
We haven't had eithor of these for awhile, pretty sure we have a pot roast or two in the freezer :thumbsup2

I had an omelette tonight for dinner with celery, mushrooms and some cheddar cheese. We also like making salad rolls, shepherds pie, chili, stew, split pea soup with ham, stir fry etc... I know what you mean though, we definitely are on rotation when it comes to meals. On top of that my DH is on weight watchers.

When I need food inspiration I get on Pinterest and look around. Always end up finding things I'd like to try.

I also made Chicken and Dumplings for dinner tonight. (It's chilly and rainy here, too.) Tomorrow we will be at my parents' house, so I'll happily eat whatever my mother makes us. :)

Last night I made a soup up with spinach, small white beans, carrots, celery, onions, leftover Italian sausage, and chicken broth. My husband really enjoyed it.

We had chicken tinga tacos. It's a recipe we originally got in a Blue Apron box. We enjoyed it so much that we make it on our own now every couple of weeks.
