Hi everyone. If you didn't see my other post..... I thought it would be fun to start a thread each day so everyone can share what they are planning to cook for dinner each day. I know sometimes I feel like I've hit a wall when planning the evening meal. It will be fun to see what others around the Dis world are cooking up.

My plan for dinner tonight is to make grilled pizza. I found the recipe in this month's issue of Cooks Illustrated magazine. It is topped with diced fresh tomatoes, fontina and parmesan cheeses. I usually don't have good results when working with yeast, but I'm going to make the dough and give it a try. We are having a pool party in a couple of weeks, and if I can get this right, I think this will be a great appetizer. Practice makes perfect. I also have an over abundance of cucumbers from my garden, so I will make some type of cucumber salad. I'm thinking maybe sliced cukes with sour cream.

So what is everyone elses plans?

I am going to make a salad.. and I am thawing a pork tenderloin which I will chunk up to kabobs (so it looks like chicked ;)) and grill it. I haven't thought about my sides yet though....
you have me thinking now though.....

I am planning on pounded chicken. A pasta primerva and an Israeli salad. We do this one once a week!

tonight we will be having cornflake chicken, steamed spinach and some sort of a potato

I've not heard of cornflake chicken. How is it made? Sounds interesting. We love chicken and I'm always looking for a different way to cook it.

corn flake chicken is so easy and oh so yummy!!

you can buy cornflakes already in crumbs - or just crush some yourself - then put them in a large baggie

dip chicken in egg
put into baggie and shake til covered with the crumbs

sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder (or whatever seasoning you like)
dot with butter

bake in 350 oven for about one hour
and enjoy!

dizney-cruiser: that does sound easy and yummy. Thanks for the instructions, I think I will give that a try.

You can do the same thing with potatoe chips. And if you use flavored chips, then you have flavored chicken!

After having to stay on a clear liquid diet all day yesterday for a procedure that I had done today, Dh is taking me out to Out Back. The boys will be having homemade Taco's. OHHHH I can taste that steak now.......YUMMY :)

We had London Broil last night so tonight the leftovers go on top of a salad. Easy and Yummy!

Ok- not very inventive tonight..DS2's choice-Shake and Bake pork chops, fried potatoes and home(local)grown corn on the cob. I promise I am more inventive most of the time..lol

Grilled Porterhouse steaks (this is a treat because we never have steak)
Baked potatoes
Petite peas
Tossed salad

I was in the mood for some good old British pub grub tonight so I had a cod steak in breadcrumbs with chips and peas. Scott had a plain oven baked chicken breast and chips (he has all his food plain, ALL of it!) I feel like a bad person eating chips as I'm trying to have a really good week food wise (my stomach problem has been playing up which I'm attributing to really poor diet the last fortnight) so I will be chip free until Saturday at least!

My Dh was working late so we went to Chick Fil a kids night. Free happy meals and they do crafts!

* Chicken with lemon and caper sauce
* brown rice
* fresh corn on the cob
* Chardonnay

Absolutely nothing! We lost power at 6 pm and just got it back now. I was going through DIS withdrawal!

We had a late lunch out today. I had baked stuffed shrimp, Ray had cajun fish, DS9 had a BLT, DS4 had clam strips, and DS3 had grilled cheese. We all had stuffed mushrooms to start.
