I've got baked ziti in the oven, it should be done soon. I love baked ziti, but it's messy as all get-out to make, so I don't make it often

Well, you all know what we're havin' grilled demonicos with a side of black beans with guac, sour cream, and salsa ... we've got a house full of boys, so we'll also be grillin hot dogs and hamburgers

Well, let's see....... I like mine with lettuce and tomato, heinz 57 and french fried potatoes.....I had a cheeseburger tonight, then a small handful of popcorn at the movies. Cayla is making me a PB&J as I type for a bedtime snack.

Last night I had steaks on the grill with grill seasoning, mashed potatoes and corn. Tonight will be spaghetti and Hawaiian Butter Bread.

Tonight (and probably every night for the better part of the week) it's leftover Ziti!! Ziti is like chili, it's always better the next day.

I always boil mine first for a couple of hours, and usually use water, menudo spices, and garlic
BUT...
I just found a really intriguing crock pot recipe that uses Carbonated Cola (Please forgive me, Utah Mama, but I prefer the elixer from Atlanta that shall go un-named ), rubbing spices (I plan to use Emeril's), a teaspoon of liquid smoke, and sliced onions. After 8 hours in the slow cooker, you slather'em with BBQ sauce and finish'em off on the grill. This is what I'm gonna try on Wednesday.

We're gonna grill again too: hamburgers and hot dogs (did I mention we have a house full of teenage boys who seemed to have moved in for the duration) and Gwen picked up some hard shelled crabs and king crab legs that we're gonna resteam, all served with corn on the cob and nice little German Riesling ...

LOL ... the teenage boys are mostly fine ... I only got challenged when struck by a bout of insomnia in the middle of the night, I came downstairs where they were all camped out and I had to step gingerly between all of their parts to make it to my laptop .... sheesh .... and then again this morning on my way out the door ...

Other than that, they are just fine .... and no the wine is not for them!!!

It's all for me!!!!

Yes, 33 minutes later I am halfway to knocked, which is why I try really, really hard not to take 'em ...

Does eating a little something help? I got my vicodin when I had a tooth pulled, I only took one or two I think. The DP was out of town, and they knocked me so far into Oz that I was kind of afraid to be alone!

I remember wanting something to eat and I couldn't even get off the couch!

Yeah, I did have half a hamburger a bit of steak (recognize all that grillin), but that's all I could eat with the pain and fatigue anyway, so now I won't go to bed (I should go to bed), so I'm dozin at my computer - this is very sorry behavior ...

I just went out to do a little more work on the pool and realized that the big black cloud approaching my house means dinner should probably be moved up to NOW!

Turned on the radar and its all pretty red and orange!
