What's everyone having for dinner tonight??

Thanks to a VEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRYYYY kind DISer, I am having Italian Chicken tonight. I came across the recipe on some kind of recipe thread a few weeks ago. It's made in a Crockpot and it's now one of my husband's faves. If that DISer is reading this, hats off to you!!

So what are you cooking/reheating/ordering in/etc. tonight? :)

I don't know what I am making yet, but I would love a new recipe for the crock pot. Will you share it or at least give me a link to the thread you found it?

Meatloaf. :thumbsup2

Where have you been lady??? I've missed you!

I'm having beef stew. Already in the crockpot. Love that feeling of "oh, dinners already done" when I get off from work. :cool1:

The original recipe had a lot more chicken in it. I changed the amount but the rest of the recipe is the same. Sorry, but I gotta say it- it YUMMO!!! :)

1 package chicken tenders cut into bite-sized pieces
1 can cream of mushroom soup
4 oz. cream cheese
¼ cup butter, melted
1 .7 oz packet dry Italian dressing mix
½ cup white wine

Put chicken in bottom of Crockpot. Mix soup, cream cheese, butter, and Italian dressing together. Pour over chicken. Top with white wine.

Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve over angel hair pasta.

It tastes almost like a chicken alfredo pasta. MMMMMMM. Oh, also, after I cooked my angel hair, I just put it IN the crockpot and tossed it with some tongs. :)

It's even better the next day!

I think I'm doing take-out today.

DH has a 6pm meeting and DD has gymnastics at 5:50pm. I'm running out of ideas for dinner to make in 15 minutes.

I love the receipe you posted. I'm going to write it down. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the quick recipe, now I hav to see if I have the cream cheese. Just a quick question on the chicken tenders. Do you mean the raw pieces off the chicken breasts? That is what I am thinking but then I wondered if it calls for the already breaded type from the frozen food section?

If we have the cream cheese I know what is for dinner now, otherwise I think it will be the meatloaf I mixed and froze the other night.

sounds yummy. Not sure what we're having but I'm doing that baby project were you take care of the baby, and you're graded by how well you do, so I'm thinking take out. lol Don't want to try to cook with that thing. It cries if its left alone for a long period of time.

Some sort of soup.

My DS11 is getting braces today. He got glasses last month. Poor child! ;) I remember those days.

Wow! This sounds excellent. Definitely going to try it.

As for dinner tonight, I have no idea what I'll fix. Haven't had pork chops in a while so that's probably what I'll end up fixing.

Yes it's the raw ones. It's the kind you would bread yourself if you were making chicken fingers or something. I use them for this recipe because there is practically no fat to cut off them and they are easier to cut up into chunks :)

The in-laws are coming, and I should do something fancy...but I think we are having taco salad. Any ideas of an easy desert?

The chicken is easier to cut up into chunks if it's slightly frozen.

I use this recipe to take to people. I use egg noodles. My crock pot recipe is called Creamy Chicken. My FIL calls it soppin' good. You know it's delicious when people use their bread to sop up the last bit of sauce! :goodvibes

How about pudding parfaits? Just layer pudding and cool whip in classes, maybe add some pound cake and call it triffle?

Another quick fix ( after the baking) is brownie sundaes. Then they can make thier own?

Good luck

Brownie sundaes...that sounds yummy. My FIL acts like he only eats "healthy food" but I have figured out he is a sucker for chocolate! I love tempting him! :smooth: I think he enjoys my doing so, also!

We'er having homade Broccolli Cheese Soup. Yummy!! I am going to have to try the OP Italian Chicken. Sounds easy and good!!

For a quick Dessert, how about strawberry shortcakes?? Strawberries are on sale here!! Just a little bit of summer on those cold days of winter!!

Someone was looking for a new crockpot recipe .... just threw our dinner in the crockpot ... here's what we're having:

Crockpot Roast Beef

any type of beef roast you like that you would cook in the oven or on the stovetop a long time in order for it to be tender

1 package of dry Hidden Valley ranch dressing mix
1 package of dry Knorr's brown gravy mix
1 package of dry GoodSeason's italian dressing mix

Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl to make a dry rub.
(The amounts listed above are for a large roast (7-8 lbs). I only use half of the packages for smaller roasts.)

Rub dry ingredients all over roast.

Put in crockpot with 1/2 cup water (sprinkle with rest of dry rub that didn't stick to roast).

Cook on low all day !

Super easy and delicious! :thumbsup2

I can't decide whether I feel like watching a movie tonight. If yes, then we'll have homemade pizza. Otherwise, I am making pasta with creamy mushroom sauce, garlic bread, and spinach salad.

At 8:42am, nothing is set in stone, but the early favorite is rotini with meatballs.

Banana bread/muffins might get made today or tomorrow as the bananas have turned past the point where either DH or I will eat them (I like them slightly green, he likes them slightly spotty).
