Just curious. I'm having a turkey because it was suppose to be cold and rainy. Figured it wouldn't heat the house up to boiling if the weather was going to be cool. Now the weather people have changed their minds a bit and at least part of the day will be fairly good.

Menu:
wheat thins and wine cheese
buttered baby new red potatoes
steak
crab cakes
bernaise sauce on the side
biscuits
green beans-french cut style

dessert to be determined later

Family tradition: roast leg of lamb with mint jelly. For the first time I bought a boneless leg, so hopefully it will be easier to slice.
Happy Easter and spring to all.

Our family tradition is ham with a bunch of sides. But since it's just the 5 of us I decided to make a boneless breast of turkey roast.

We will be having Turkey and Ham. I don't know what else because we are going to my DH brother's house.

DHs friend is coming over and making leg of lamb
DS heard Leg of Lamb and said no way could he eat that! Poor lambie
Not sure what DS & I will be eating besides corn on the cob

It was going to be ham with all the trimmings, but since FIL is sick the dinner has been postponed until next Saturday night. Not sure what DH and I will be eating now - something simple I'm sure.

I have no idea what we're in for...having Easter dinner at my S-I-Law's house. I was only asked to bring some beer and soda.
Please let it be something I like!! I'm a very bland eater and they usually serve up some pretty funky stuff! Perhaps I'll eat before we go!

I always make a ham and scallopped potatoes for Easter and in order to please my DH and MIL and to uphold their Italian tradition, we make home made gnocci and sauce with meatballs, sausage and beef. Our kids get the best of both traditions and we all always eat too much!!

Hope the bunny is good to all of you!!! Happy Easter!!!!

Our family always has a huge BBQ...can't wait! Burgers, hotdogs, sausage, chicken, fish and all the sides that go with it!

We're going to Ohana's, so I think that a little bit of everything will fall into our dinner :sunny:

Ham, Hashbrown Casserole, Veggies, Rolls. Simple since it is only us this year. We were going to head to my dad's but it is the first day both Chris and I don't have to work so we are just going to relax and enjoy the day with the kids.

First of all-STEPHAROONIE YOU ARE SO LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, now that I got that off my chest, we had a major fiasco deciding what to do for Easter tomorrow. It's just the 4 of us for the first time, um, ever. No extended family or friends, so I didn't want to do any big to-do. DH was "fine" with that and asked me to go to this super fancy grocery store and pick out some fancy stuffed pork chops or chicken or whatever. I did, and he goes, "Okay, how are you going to fix that." So, right there we have a fight in the grocery store. I said, "Why did you bring me here to pick something out and then ask how I was going to fix it? This was YOUR thing?" (I had told him just to pick something on his own, but oh no...). We ended up just getting some Ribeyes which we are going to marinate in a Iron Chef teriyaki sauce, and I bought some baby broccolini & some baby green beans to steam, and probably rice. I am going to make lemon pudding cake for dessert. Not really "Eastery" but whatever.

It's just been one of those days where nothing we say to each other was taken the right way. :(

Turkey, with all the trimmings, ham, mashed potatoes, squash, peas, salad, and pie.

Maybe some chocolate too! :D

In the morning we are going to brunch with my husband's family. We are having spiral ham for dinner later in the night at my mom's house.

I try to keep it simple for all holidays.
Since DH and I are empty nesters, I try not to pressure the kids into coming over for dinner when they already have to go to the in-laws for dinner. So DH and I decided to go out for dinner and take my DM and DF along. Then DS called and asked what we were doing for dinner.....now his family is joining us, then DD's family decided to join us. SO now we have 14 of us going out to eat! Should be real nice day.

Spiral ham
Turkey
Stuffed Grapeleaves (family tradition!)
Green Bean Casserole
Mom's potato casserole
salad
desserts
and who knows what else!

Happy Easter everyone!
