Normally, we have green bean casserole but I don't feel like it this year, and since it's only the 2 of us, and I'm the only one that eats it...We also normally have an Apple Pie, but I don't have a lot of counter space in this apartment, and the thought of trying to roll out a pie crust...:headache: Thankfully, it was easy to convince DH that I should make his other favorite holiday dessert instead. And that I can make today, and not have to worry about making dessert tomorrow.

I am not sure exactly what we are having because I am not cooking it. I know we will have:

turkey
gravy
mashed potatoes
cranberry sauce(jellied)
apple pie
pumpkin pie

Be jealous. Here is my special menu, just for us. ;)

Grilled Hamburgers and Turkeyburgers

Cranberry sauce for DH (with berries)
Steamed Broccoli

PO3's Broccoli cheese casserole
Cuppycakes w/ buttercrean frosting

ok deb 2 things for ya....

1. how was it???
and
2. how were the cuppycakes. 'cause since you called them that the other day, i've been walking around saying "i need a cuppycake!!!!!"

The broccoli cheese casserole met with mixed reviews. DS20, his DGF and I all LOVED IT!!! I think DH wasn't so crazy about it, but I it was a texture thing more than anything else. I cooked it a bit too long, and it was a little mushy. So Christmas I'll make a small one, and a small greed bean casserole for him, because he was lamenting that it was gone...

As for the cuppycakes, DS16 had a friend over on Wednesday, and they made the first batch, and she took some home with her. Then yesterday we made more, and DS20 took some over to his DGF house. So today I get to make some more for the dessert party at work, and tomorrow I'll make more for the dessert party at a friends house. I'm the Cuppycake Princess these days princess:

We had:
turkey and gravy
mashed potatoes
turnip (I don't eat it)
hashbrown casserole
corn pie
jellied cranberry
cranberry sauce
green bean casserole
dressing
sweet potato bake

for dessert:
individual pumkin pies
individual caramel apple blossoms
chocolate pumkin cheesecake

We came home with some leftovers- John who is staying with us requested the turnip and no one else easts it so it came home for him to have over the weekend. Servings of each dessert for all of us, some turkey, dressing, and sweet potato bake
