Last ditch effort to use banked points before UY April1. Was going mid March; now end March. Of course we now have the PIA of making park reservations. Have 8 day OKW reservation as Blue card DVC members. I duitifully cancelled my old Park Reservations. DH and I are going. We both have unused APs (no blackout days).

Tried to make Park Reservations - system allowed a few but not the weekend. Called the ticket number - waited an hour; CM said it can take a FEW HOURS to a DAY to the old reservayions to clear our - well, thank goodness this is just a throwaway trip during a slow time. Three days later, I still cannot book any more than 3 park days. The current wait using the 'special' internet problem child number is 118 minutes.

Just for fun, I tired to re-enter my reservayion number (clearly, it sees me as an AP guest over a resort guest) just in case, I typed wrong, but, alas, they system said I was already in with the correct reservation number.

Please get the IT out of India and away from Halpless Pathetic HP. Please bring back enough CMs to answer phones. Please stop this park reservation madness.

Also, there are days with ZERO ADRs for "dinner" for 2 on the entire property.

Help me have a better attitude. Oh and masks - I have a problem with people that thik they don't have to wear masks. Help meeeee
 
Well I agree with the whole bring back enough cast members to staff the phones part... The rest of it, well, thats just part of last minute bookings. I booked my reservations at 60 days for my whole trip and even then had a few snags but got most of what I wanted. I am sure you can get something for dinner at Disney springs using open table vs Disney's adr system. Park reservations are here to stay until its running at full capacity. You do seem to need some help with a better attitude about it, but I can't help you there as I have my own bad attitude today.

The parks aren't full - the system just won't let me book.

And, hey, thanks to admiting to also having a bad day. Turns out - my Gold AP is blocked! Too bad first CM after hour wait didn't tell me. Had to wait 118 minutes for second one. Now I have a 70 minute wait with DVD to try to upgrade - not even sure it is posible anymore. Somehow, COVID affects this.......
 
Try a res for 3 and I bet you will find something. Then just modify later. I have to do that most of the time, even before date illness. The rest, well I got nothing.

Doesn't count the calls I made to the regular line and IT the other night.

This is wireless phone / cable nightmare kind of stuff. Disney has NO EXCUSES, COVID is a year old.

Not that you need another department to call but have you tried to call DME and see if they could delete and then add back in your reservation to see if that would allow the system to recognize you as a resort guest?

It's become an issue of blackout dates. My new dates are blacked oout . Took 4 CMs to figure it out. Now I need to upgrade to Platinum.....hours................

Guess who just had a crash course in all things Universal...that's the back up plan. We've never been. For $800 we can do two days with unlimited magical no waits. I think the platinum jump will be about $500 for days and the photo pass (like I need a reminder of the COVID 19 lbs.)
 
Don’t worry about no dining reservations. We went last week, spur of the moment trip too. Made a couple of dining reservations before we left, but booked most while at disney. People cancel reservations all the time. The best time to grab reservations is a couple days before - but we got great ones day before and day of. Just keep checking. A lot! It is easy using the app.

We are at topolinas twice. California grill. Le cellier. Beaches and cream. Homecoming. Really could have eaten anywhere. At good times!
