I am getting pretty discouraged by Ebay. I see some auctions (not mine) that are selling for 99 cents! How is it even worth anyone's time to sell things for 99 cents. That item in particular was a few newborn baby outfits. The shipping was $2.99 and by the time Ebay takes their fees how do you make anything. Its not even worth the time anymore.

I listed 4 Gymboree boys long sleeved shirts and a sweater all in excellent condition for $12.99. Nothing. I am not willing to take $3.99 for the stuff which is what people want to pay these days...I am just taking this stuff to consignment from now on.

I wonder this too- And how about the people who list paperbacks for 1 penny on amazon- how can anyone do this?

Anyway- I was feeling very bummed about the increase in fees... but my auctions are going for more than I expected so I am happy. I have figured out that small/cheap items are not worth the time and money but things that will fetch a fair amt. are still worth my time.

I agree. My pins sold for $2 a piece, and then ebay charged me $8 for the 2 auctions.
