I just said good-bye to my college bound son.

So tonight I'm going to be DISing the whole evening away hopefully keeping my mind off of not missing my son too much. It is a little easier saying bye their Sophomore year.

Not much going on here tonight. We're getting hit by what's left of Ernesto so we're staying put. I'm also not feeling that great. I think the weather is messing up my sinuses. Right now I'm upstairs with DD who's setup a tent in our room and is happily playing inside of it. DH is out in the garage doing manly things . I'm enjoying the peace and quiet. I'm sure they'll both be looking for some food pretty soon.

Does your son have far to go to get to school?

Nothing...the movers were supposed to come today, but they forgot about us...now we dont' move until next week.

Nothing much other than looking at wedding sites in hopes that I get some pointers and marriage proposal ideas. I only have 3 months until the day I ask her, so I better start looking now. I have a pretty good idea what I want to do, but I could still use any help I could get.

He's about 2 hours away. He might come home once before Thanksgiving but of course I'm hoping more!

Yes...it is done.

He says his PC was stolen, but he still could have gotten into his email, right?

No idea how he 'forgot'. Good thing we are flexible and our lease isn't up for a while.

And yes...thanks for asking, the house is done and we are living in it (without the big furniture).

Cleaning out basement for upcoming garage sale. Oh joy!

I found old tickets stubs (& I mean O L D ) of a Bobby Sherman concert I attended when I was like 11 or 12 y/o at the Westbury Music Fair on Long Island. The ticket cost $4 & there was a 25 cent parking fee! I was just telling a friend that when I went to the Bon Jovi concert months back, the parking was $15! Boy have times changed!

I'm sorry you're missing your DS. Mine is 11 & has ADHD & my other is 4 & is also ADHD & Autistic & after having been home with them all summer, I have fantasies of them leaving for college. Maybe out of state too! (They return to school on Sept 5th. )

Shay, I loved Bobby. Saw him too when I was a young un. David Cassidy, Donny O and also Tony Defranco. Oh those were the days

I saw Bobby on the Teen Idols tour 4 years ago at Westbury Music Fair.
He was the sweetest man, signed autographs while he was singing!

Mishetta and Momtomootoo: I'd love to see Bobby Sherman in concert. Wayyyyy back when I used to have his poster on the ceiling of my room... over the bed where I could see it when I woke up. Never saw him in concert, though. I did see the Osmonds. I'd love to see Donny in concert again.
