What's especially exciting about your upcoming trip?

I have so much to be thankful for during my upcoming trip. First off, I get to go solo. I love Corey with all of my heart, but she knows that I need pixie dust, so she has encouraged me to go alone this time. Next, I get to meet a couple of great DIS'ers, OrlandoMike and RickinNYC & his partner, Joe. These are really great guys and I am really looking forward to meeting them in person. I get to meet Deb Wills on the 20th, which is a late breaking major upgrade to my 3 day park plan! I have missed her by a matter of hours a couple of trips now, so finally getting to meet her is an honor that I am so looking forward to. Finally, I get to have Lunch with an Imagineer! I have wanted to do this for a very long time, because I am a huge Disney geek. Oh, and I get to stay at POR for the first time too! It's going to be a great trip. Just 10 short days from right about now, I will be in an airplane that will be starting it's decent down to MCO.

I am over-the-moon excited about this trip. Going April 22nd to not only visit the Mouse, but to see my DD who has been working at the Y&B Club since January. Can't wait - to see both the loves of my life - Mickey and Mandy!:goodvibes

Timon-look for us at Boatwright's on the 21st!

Grinningghost-hope you have fun! Where are you staying?

It is my DH's bday on the 20th, our anniversary on the 21st, and our bday on the 22nd and since my DH is SUCH a great guy, I am giving up being a mean wife and letting him have his Keys to the Kingdom Tour, even though I like to believe that WDW runs on magic. He is taking me to a few great dinners, and this is our first solo trip since 2004. And I met a great DISer that is sharing a Wishes cruise with me on the 22nd. I am celebrating our oldest going to Stanford!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,
I am celebrating many things. I am close to 50 pounds lighter than I was when we were there in 2001.

I am celebrating my son's high school graduation in June and I earned my Master's and will walk in that ceremony in May.

Once we start tuition payments in Sept, I am not sure how long I will have to wait to go again!
This is my and DH's third trip and my kids' second!

We leave in 9 days and I am very excited!

Debi:)

Our upcoming trip is special because....

1. We're celebrating our 4th anniversary.
2. We're going without any of our 5 kids. (blended family) No stroller, carseat, child swap, diapers.....

and.......3. We're leaving in 31 minutes.

Our October trip is special for me because:
1. It will be the first time my kids and DH get to go to WDW, I can't wait to see my DD
2. It will be our 10th wedding anniversary
3. It will be my 34th birthday

this thread got me all teary eyed!! i'm so happy for everyone!!

Our trip is special because it will be just my daughter and I, they grow up so fast and I know soon we will hit the "mom, you are so embarrassing!" stage and won't to hold my hand anymore. :sad2:
Her father does'nt always make the best decisions when it comes to her ( took his g-friend & her 3 kids on vaca last year-JUST them) and she deserves a special trip. I am doing my single-mom darndest to make it the BEST!!!

(so any suggestions are welcome!) :goodvibes

This trip is sooooo extremely exciting for us because it's going to be our first and we've been planning for years. We planned on taking the kids when they were younger and dh was diagnosed with kidney disease. We were in our twenties with three young children. He had to be on dialysis and then had a transplant. Luckily everything seems to be getting back on track and the kids are now 13, 12 & 8. We are so excited and especially happy that we can make it while all three are still in gr. school. This trip literally brings tears to my eyes, lol.

We are going as a family this year. We haven't been on a family vacation in about 3 years due to school, work and everything else. This year, things have worked out wonderfully and we will all be going back to out favorite spot! Along with my immediate family, my sister's bf and my bf will be joining us, so it's pretty exciting.

The thing I look forward the most is walking through the gates of Magic kingdom and looking at the excitement in my children's eyes. Just looking at them takes me back. It is so magical!

Our first Family Trip:cool1:
Our son's first birthday will be during our trip:wizard:
Our son's first trip:cool1:

We cant wait:goodvibes

Mommy Daughter Vacation!!! September 20-25, 2008 at GF

Me, DD4, College roommate/best friend and her DD3

All "girly" things...BBB, Perfectly Princess Tea, CRT, etc

DHs are SO glad they are staying home.:rotfl:

I live in SC, my friend lives in AZ...we have seen each other twice in 8 years, but it always seems like it was just yesterday! We are so excited and blessed to be able to share some Disney magic together (and with our little princesses)!

My next trip will be my first stay as a DVC'er. I bought Saratoga Springs, but we are staying at Vero for 3 days and then OKW (Never stayed there) in June. Then the beauty of DVC hit me like a "light bulb" moment.:goodvibes I was wondering were we should stay on the night we arrive, since we don't check into Vero until the next day. I usually try to find the least expensive place, but where's the magic in that????

So, on a whim, I called to see if anything was available at BCVillas. I would never normally stay there because of the expense. But - heck - now I have points. And guess what - I was able to get a studio for one night. :woohoo: I have always wanted to stay near Epcot and walk in at night. Plus I will get to use that heavenly pool. It really feels like a special treat. And I am going to hang at that pool until I am good and ready to leave for Vero the next day.
