Since we are heading to WDW next Friday, I've started to plan the week in a little more detail. It looks like Tuesday, 4/13 is the best day to do a water park for us. We'll be checking out of the Poly that morning and into the CR. I suspect after breakfast and all this is done, it will be between noon and 1. Both TL and BB close at 7 PM that week, but we have ressies at HDDR at either 7 or 7:30 (can't recall which of the two).

If we get to the waterpark between 1 and 2, will we have enough time to enjoy it? I suspect we'll have to leave by 6 to get back to the CR, change clothes, and over to the HDDR.

We have always found that 3-4 hours is enough time to enjoy the water parks. We usually bring our clothes with us to change into because we are cold in the busses going back to the resort with our wet suits on, plus it could save time since you are going to HDDR so soon after going back to your resort.

My guess is your ressie is for the 7:15 show at HDDR...please make sure to allow enough time. I would allow at least 45 minutes to take the boat across the lake from CR and check-in. I believe they request you arrive 15-30 min. early to check-in. You would have to leave the water park way before 6pm....I would figure 30-45 minutes back to the resort...plus plenty of time to shower/change/hair & makeup/etc. I don't know how many you have traveling with you, but with only 1 bathroom (and everyone in a hurry), it could be crazy!!!:teeth: If it was DH and I...we would be leaving the water park by 4:45 pm. This would allow 1 hour to get ready for dinner. Have a great time...we love TL and HDDR!!!

I Love TL as well. We spend the WHOLE DAY--- well depends on the season I guess. But we are in the 5-6 hour range. Remeber that it is going to be busy that week and if it's hot there is a good chance the waterparks will reach capacity. Also, going at 12-1 is going to make it really difficult to get a chair and such. During peak times it's best to do the parks at opening or around 3pm- when the first wave of people are really starting to clear out.

I just wanted to add... the HDDR is not a regular PS, but a reservation. "CC guarantee for parties of 7 or less. Cancel 48 hours in advance, full price penalty for same day cancels & no-shows. Parties of 8 or more require prepayment in full 21 days prior to the show date. Same cancel policy" (taken from allearsnet.com).

I don't know how late you have to be to be considered a "no show", but I do know that they will resell your seat if anyone is waiting at the ticket booth will call.

This isn't to scare anyone, but just to make everyone aware of the policy. I would hate to miss the show and still have to fork out the $$$.

We love to go to Typhoon Lagoon. Go when it opens in the morning.

We swim for awhile and have lunch. Then swim some more. There are also plenty of chairs to sit and relax on. Six to seven hours for us.
