Back less than 24 hours and I am already looking to book for next year! We were thinking if we did Easter we could go for 3 weeks but having never been that time we weren't sure what it's like for weather or crowds. Crowds don't bother us too much as we make use of the fast pass and special assistance. Charlie can't cope more than 4 hours at a park so we would go early and come back after lunch. Found some reasonable flights at £750 which I am guessing judging by virgins prices is good for Easter?
Other option is going in May again but just for two weeks ... I like October but don't think I could wait that long :-)

If its 3 weeks in Oct then I would wait for then, my fave month.

We have been a few times at Easter, 2nd busiest time after Xmas. You will manage but it is very busy.

Had a couple of Easter trips with cooler, windy weather but next year could be perfect, you don't know til it gets here.

We were looking last night at next years dates, difficult to plan if Matt continues to do a Masters at Uni but looking at 2 weeks before Easter & August. Although not sure if either will be Florida.

The last 2 Easters have been perfect weather for me - hot enough to swim but not yet humid.

Crowds are masssive but can be managed.

We can only go summer, Easter and December so we just get on with it as we no longer have a choice really :goodvibes

Easter is a fantastic time to go. Flower and Garden Festival is on, weather is generally beautiful - warm enough to swim but the humidity hasn't struck in full force yet, evenings a bit cooler.

As Tracy says, it will be crowded but extended operating hours in the parks give many usable hours each day in which to structure decent length breaks and still do what you need to do.

Think this will be us after next year due to both the eldest being in secondary school and dont want to take them out after year 8. Is easter busier than july august? I suppose with fp+ its a lot more workable and can do split days. Dont know if I prefer less busy and melting like an ice lolly with high humidity and down pours or being really busy and hot. Plus there is the price hike !!

We did Easter in 2010 (limited to school holls if we want to take my step-sons)

It was a lot better than I thought it was going to be!

Weather was fab - hot and sunny, but sometimes cool enough to need a wee cardigan in the evenings. Didn't see any rain until our last couple of days.

Crowds were busy, yes, but get up early, hit the crowd-pullers before the crowds do, use fastpass, and take a break in the afternoons, and you'll be just fine.

The only down-side might be that the 'free dining' offers generally aren't valid for Easter stays, could be worth checking out, if that's something you'd normally make use of.

Can only do 3 weeks at Easter, i dont like to pull the boys out for more than 5 days of school. I have just found an amazing flight deal £1,800 for all of us from manchester with virgin end of march for 19 nights, think i will be booking this tomorrow, too good to turn down. Going a few days earlier than i would like and coming back a few days earlier but its a difference of £1,200! We know its going to be Florida Wayne :lmao: I was supposed to be going to turkey and look what happens!?

We are looking at 20th March so a week before they break up for 3 weeks, we found it quite busy this time in May, dont know if its anything to do with Memorial Weekend.

I love the hot weather but a bit cooler will make it easier for the boys to manage park days, pool weather is a must, the boys are water babies!x

We are looking at going a week before the boys break up so we can get the free dining but i think we are only going to do a value or mod this time as i found the food too much.

I have been fortunate enough to go to Disney a number of times and if I'm honest, Easter was the worst for crowds etc. we vowed never to go that time of year again. Feb is a good time to go and October is great too...

We did April last year and doing April again next year too, weather was fine, we thought it was nice and warm (nothing compared to August though!) and not too many thunderstorms. The crowds are bigger than when we usually go (again August!) but we didn't find it to be that overwhelming although last year we went on the 18th and next year the 22nd/23rd so hopefully with Easter being quite early this year we will miss the majority of it but I'm not 100% sure on all the school dates etc.

Have done Easter 6 times, 7th trip at Easter planner for 2015.

Advantages - good weather, dry, when you get home it's much warmer than when you left :lmao:, something to look forward to all winter :thumbsup2, Mardi Gras at Universal

Disadvantages - crowded, wait times beyond belief over the Easter weekend itself and the week before. The week after it gets more steady. Weather can be iffy - swore off Easter a few years ago as the weather was poor (cool, windy) but relented and it's been great since. Expensive. No theming. Busy, busy, busy.

Did I mention it's busy?

We keep going because I want more than 7 days out there, and it's cheaper than Christmas, with less chance of horrendous weather than the summer (been in too many tropical storms in my lifetime already).

I have to say agree with above - we vowed never again at Easter. I found the worst part was the groups of young adults drinking in Epcot (graduation celebration?) it made it impossible to have a relaxed wander through the countries, my fave part
Although October is my favourite time to visit, we have had to stick with August last couple of times for a longer break in school hols. I prefer dealing with the heat than tipsy, noisy college students

too late now as i am booked :lmao: Crowds wont bother us too much as we will get there for rope drop and come home after lunch. We will make use of the fastpass and Charlies GAC which will help with the crowds, we can go and get a drink and cool down whilst waiting if needed. We have 16 nights so there is no rush, we just take it at our own pace :)
Pleased to hear the weather is nice but not too hot

I will add that going to Disney at a convenient but not so 'ideal' time is far more preferable than not going at all (hence August for us :confused3)

It's always nice to have Disney to look forward to, I was beside myself at not having our August flights booked until a few weeks ago, it's just never certain until then.

Enjoy you planing :cheer2:
