We are a family of four with a 2 year old and 5 year old.

We are headed to Universal one day and have not rented a car and will not be bringing carseats. What is the easiest way to get to and from Universal.

1. Taxi
2. Car Service
3. Rent a car
4. Uber - is this possible with kids/carseats? Do they have uberfamily in orlando?

I have heard of the Mears shuttle, but am mixed on that idea.

Without car seats I couldn't take any of those. I'd have to prearrange to have car seats with a service. But I don't trust OPC other people's carseats) so I'd loop back mentally and bring my own and then I'd rent a car.

I haven't traveled with children, so perhaps someone else might be able to help you with that aspect of your journey. :) But I will say that my last trip to WDW/Universal was with 3 other adults. We priced out the Mears Shuttle because I was familiar with that option, and I also looked at a rental car for the day. But in the end, it was honestly cheaper and pretty convenient to take a taxi to Universal for the day.

I can't comment on Uber - I haven't used them, but I have heard a lot of good things.

I have this same dilemna. But I don't want to lug my nice carseats on the plane. I could buy some and have them shipped to the resort, but then again, I feel like that is wasteful and an additional expense. Darn traveling with kids. lol.

Hi.
It's worth having a look at the trunki backpack booster seats for your 5 year old but unless your 2 year old is really big it won't be suitable for them( recommend for 4 year old but depends on weight and height)
I think you can rent car seats so that would be worth checking. The joys of travel with little ones!! Ruth
