When leaving MCO, we will have 2 rentals cars and 11 people. Is it easier for the husbands to drop off the wives/kids and let them curb side check-in and then they return the cars and check-in themselves? We are using Dollar.

There were 4 of us, one rental car, 4 checked bags, a stroller, and 2 carseats. We considered having my husband drop 3 of us off at the curb and then return the car by himself, but we all went to Enterprise to return the car. It was not a hassle at all. There were several shuttles waiting, and it was nice to have plenty of time to clean out the car and get our bags and car seats situated. We got off the shuttle right at the curb and checked our bags without any issues. Good luck!

Using Dollar, the drop off is in the garage right across the street from the terminal. If it were me, and it has been many many times, I'd just follow the rental car return signs and get rid of the car(s) first. If you drop off the families you'll have to drive all the way around the airport again to drop off the cars. Dollar is pretty efficient in handling the returning cars and then your whole group would just go across to the terminal for check-in.

That sounds super easy. That is what we will do. Thanks!

In 2000, someone in our group decided we should take the elevators up in the garage, and then cross over to the terminal. We divided into 2 groups getting into the elevators. Unfortunately, neither group picked the same floor to get off, and we spent about 15 minutes going up and down in the elevators until we finally found each other!! We laughed about it later, but at the time it wasn't funny at all.

Moral of this story? After returning your rental car, walk across the road to the terminal.

I assume you have enough older kids and adults to move the luggage, car seats and strollers from the garage to the terminal.
