Do the kids get dressed up and go trick or treating? I was thinking maybe we could do DL Oct 2009 and luckily Halloween falls on a Saturday. My kids get spooked really easily so if it is scary there then that's a no go.

No dressing up allowed at DL. Only DCA if it is during Mickey's Halloween Treat, which is a separate ticketed event.

We were there at the end of Sept. last year, it was great! Halloween decor was completely set up. We did not participate in Mickey's Trick or Treat though. About no dressing up ~ I saw tons of girls in princess costumes last month!

Kids can dress up at DL anytime but adults can't. They can at the Mickys Halloween Treat. The last trip we took was for the Halloween Treat and my kids loved it. The lines for the characters are much shorter and take more time with the kids. I even had Cinderella write a postcard for the pay it forward/Fairy Godmailer I did. So if we go that time of year we will do it again.

I'm looking forward to seeing the DL Halloween decor!! Does anyone have any pics they can post?

I don't have any pics with me... but the decor is awesome, pumpkins everywhere!!! If I wasn't planning to be preggo this fall (and therefore probably pretty sick...) we'd be going in the fall again... instead I have to settle for going back next week sans decor... :thumbsup2

MHT was a blast, rode all the rides with no wait... dd loved all of it, saw tons of characters... and yes, all the kiddos were in costume, and for MHT a lot of the adults were too, no masks allowed I think though, and no one was scary...
