I'm wondering if other hobbyists out there have a to-do list of all their photography related projects? What kinds of things are you currently working on? Do you some times feel like you'll never get it all done or are you just glad that you have something you enjoy to keep you occupied?

Some things I'm working on:

- Process a ton of soccer and baseball photos for the team slide shows so I'm not doing them all at the end of the season.

- Scan a bunch of old photos for my father-in-laws 70th Bday slide show.

- Process the shots from a Senior photo shoot I did last Saturday (turned out really well, I'll share them here eventually).

- Just got a new scanner with a film attachment and so I want to start scanning some older shots of the kids.

- Make it out to the forrest preserve behind our house at dawn and see what wildlife I can photograph.

- Now that I have a faster computer, I really want to get my old home movies off of VHS and on to DVD (maybe we'll finally watch them).

- Plan now for Christmas. Want to start doing annual Photo Books of our family for parents/grandparents. If I wait until November it will never get done, just need to work on it a month at a time.

That should keep me busy for a while. What are you guys working on?

Oh God. :faint:

Let's see...

Deciding on topic for this month's Photo Board Assignment and soliciting ideas for future topics

Trying to learn my new camera - upgraded to an Olympus E30 last month; also helping DS12 assimilate to my old dSLR and DD12 to her new bridge camera

Also trying to learn some other new acquisitions - two f2/8 lenses and two external flashes (bought last year but using more now)

Working on editing photos from my DS's last six baseball games and an out of state tournament; still working on some from last year, too - baseball and otherwise

Printing and framing a team photo for all team members and coaches before this weekend's games

Creating a large wall hanging for my newly renovated kitchen from one of my WDW shots (looking out Main St Bakery window)

Achieving personal goal this year of improving postprocessing skills (haven't quite started yet :lmao: ), want to take Photoshop or similar class

Developing a "Basics of How to Use Your Camera" class friends have asked me to run

Planning new Photo Storage Area for future family room renovation

Deciding on photos for annual summer photography contest entries, self and kids (who usually win but I don't, lol) and getting them ready

I'm sure there are more but those are the ones at the forefront.

(It does get overwhelming sometimes, doesn't it?) :rotfl2:

Also trying to learn my new camera - upgraded to an Olympus E30 a couple of weeks ago (Thanks for the push Linda :thumbsup2)

Assisting the organizer of the Philadelphia SmugMug group to get it up and running (we had our first meet up last Sunday)

Learning to really unlock the capabilities of Lightroom

Try to set up a small home studio (using stobes)

Now that I have a new printer, printing is at the top of my list:
  • Meet with the bride I shot a couple of weeks ago and make prints of her bridal shoot.
  • Print pictures to fill the frames I bought back in September.
  • Final print the pictures for the collage frame I bought for a Canada trip I took in '07.
  • Print some shots of the neighbors kids from a recent photo shoot.
  • Print player posters for my son's soccer team.
Shooting:
  • Zoo shoot Saturday morning
  • Wedding shoot two weeks from Saturday
  • Take pics and video of the plasma globe
  • Three of four more weekends of soccer games
Video:
  • 1st grad play next week
  • Work on script for "Brobot" video my boys want to shoot
  • Determine why some Blu-ray's won't play on my WD TV and find a solution.
  • Convert online DVD collection to H.264 files to save space and because they work better with the WD TV.
  • Start planning summer interview shoots
Software:
  • Download and install free upgrade to DeNoise
  • Finish installing plug-ins and actions for Photoshop and Premiere
  • Keep experimenting with CS5
  • Reconfigure my wife's computer to save inbound RAW photos on a set of mirror drives and set up a way to push photos to the NAS when she's done processing a set
  • Keep researching a way to display 3D photos on TV in 3D
Learning/Teaching:
  • Keep watching Kelby Training videos and Adobe.TV
  • Finish going over camera functions with my wife
