What do you cook for dinner after a hectic day at the parks? Do you make up a menu before you go?
Post any suggestions here please. Thanks!

We tend to spend an evening or morning shortly after arrival cooking things that can easily be reheated. We buy 96 oz frozen Stouffers lasagna. Surprisingly good and a nice meal with garlic bread and a salad. We make taco meat and sometimes spaghetti. We bake some chicken with potatoes and veggies. Again, all this pretty well done at once so it's just heat and serve the rest of the week.

We've also hit a local Sams and stocked up on frozen stuff that can be done in the oven quickly. Those little bite size quiches are a favorite of mine. The kids like pizza rolls and hot pockets. Another kid could live on the frozen chicken bits.

I also like a can of Campbell's chunky soup from time to time, but the rest of the family usually won't buy that. I have taken along chili when we had some in the freezer and they like that with fritoes, sour cream, and tomatoes.

A favorite of my husbands' is the flat ham slices, that just need a couple minutes on each side in the fry pan, paired with a bag of the instant cheesy or garlic potatoes and a vegetable and he's all set! We also usually do the frozen cheese ravioli with sauce and garlic bread. Very filling!

Sounds good!

Shopping in a US grocery store will be a treat for us. Our stores down here aren't awful but we sure don't have the selection or fresh stuff like you all are used to. Will there still be nice fruit like strawberries and blueberries available at the end of August?
