whats closer to IG? Japan or Canada?

I was thinking Canada but looking at a map Im not so sure
is there much difference?
thinking 1 day we may just go in for lunch and head over to MGM

Well I think it is Canada. There is only one country between Canada and the IG ( UK). There are 2 between Japan and the IG ( France and Morocco).

Canada is definitely closer, but Japan is no more than a 5 minute walk. I would highly recommend Le Cellier for lunch. Their French Dip Sandwich is my favorite entree in all of WDW. My son also enjoyed the waterfalls in Canada. When you have the time, try to check out the different countries. World Showcase is a great place to spend an afternoon or evening.

guess I should have explained more
Im actually planning 4 lunches in EpCot this Aug
Coral Reef 1 day after spending the morn in Future World

Two late lunches (trying to decide which to do when) the 2 afternoons/nights we're spending in the countries

and a late lunch in EpCot one of the days we're heading over to MGM

planning LeCellier, Teppenyaki and San Angel - should I just book San Angel & LeCellier those 2 nights we're spending in EpCot and start on opposite ends and do Teppenyaki the afternoon we're going to MGM? or use LeCellier as our "pop-in" lunch?

It probably would be easier to pop in to Le Cellier than to Teppenyaki. You also might ask on the restaurant board to see if there's a big difference between Teppenyaki's entertainment at lunch and dinner. I haven't eaten there, but I hear it's a great place and quite entertaining at dinner. Allearsnet.com has menus listed, and the dinner menu at Teppenyaki sounds much better than their lunch menu. I found Le Cellier's lunch menu to be quite good.
