Hi all,
I've just booked 4 days over New Years Eve for the family as a suprise xmas pressie for my wife and kids. It will be our first trip to DLP since Jan 2006 - we've been getting our Disney fix in the Florida sunshine - up until then we were fairly regular visitors. We always stayed at DLH (mainly for convenience) and got to know the parks pretty well. This time i've booked a lakeside room at SL (DLH was fully booked) and am looking forward to the change of scenery.

SO onto my question, will we notice any other changes in the parks since we were last there? Obvioulsy there's the new Studio rides and i've read on here there is now a Princess Dinner at Auberge de Cendrillion but anything else to look out for or anything missing?

Thanks in advance

Rich

There are of course many new attractions and the Studios are much more popular these days. But you will also see the whole 15th Birthday decoration which I just love. I can not imagine the castle without the characters. And also Disney Village has changed completely since January 2006. :thumbsup2

And you will of course see the whole Christmas decoration which is worth a seperate trip. :wizard:

Thats what i'm most looking forward to.. We always used to go in Jan, just after the Christmas season had ended, so we saw the tree but not much else.. Having said that we seemed to be the only people in the park so that had it's advantages.. I'm preparing for New Years Eve to be rather more hectic and not expcecting any "walk ons"

Times have changed since January 2006. We have also been there 2006. And since then the visitor numbers have increaaaased.
Even the Studios are now often stuffed. And we have also been on New Years Eve 2003/2004 and the park was crowded as I have never seen it before.
Be prepared for waiting times of more than 2 hours for BTM, TOT, Crush, SM2, Peter Pan and many more. And plan your meals as early as possible. We waited 30 minutes at one of the Fast Food Counters at 10pm. And if you want to have a good spot for the fireworks you should be there at latest at 9pm!

But New Years Eve is great at the Resort. :thumbsup2
