What's a Universal scrip?

I keep finding coupons that include a Universal scrip, but I don't know what that is!!

I saw those coupons in my Entertainment book too, I do not know for sure but it seems logical that they would be like money you can spend in the park for shopping or food. Whether they would apply to a minimum purchase- doubt that.
Maybe best to call the 800-number
