What's a reasonable price to pay for a TV?

Oh, I think I know at least one person who will buy it if he's able (my ex). But my only TV is a 19'' bubble screen purchased in 1994 which is currently sitting unplugged in my spare room...so I don't take it personally when you say you think it's dumb!!:p

The whole idea about a TV with ambient light behind it is that it causes much less strain on the eyes to watch a slightly backlit TV than a TV in a completely dark room.

But I watch on a 100" diagonal front projection system, so again, I can not really talk about frugality when it comes to TVs. But I did sell them for a while at Best Buy so I know a little bit! :-D

(Actually I only watch movies on the 100" screen, I watch TV on a 27" Phillips that I paid $229 for at WalMart, not a bad little set.)

My Aunt charged my Uncle with getting a replacement when their 32 inch tv died last year.

He came home with one of those giant HDTV's. She learned a lesson about depositing a bonus check and sending the husband off to Best Buy alone :D

I have no need for a tv that big. When I want to watch a movie or game on the big screen tv, I just pop by my Aunt's house ;)
