This is our first time staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins (in Sept.) and don't know really what to expect.

We need a no pet/smoking cabin near the marina so we can hop on the boat easily. Are there cabins that is within walking distance to the boat and if so what is the loop # I can request?

Thanks in advance for your help! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Sorry, but the cabin loops are at the opposite end of FW from the Marina. This leaves walking, bicycle, bus or golf cart as sources of transportation for you. On the up side, all cabins are no pets allowed, so you don't have to worry about that. There are two cabins in a preferred loop by the Settlement area, but these are VIP cabins and not available to the general public.

Maybe I should be dancing knowing that I was a VIP to be able to use the 100 loop cabin? But I am not, I know that we were only given that cabin because of having our reservation cancelled by Disney and all sites were booked when we arrived...had to use a cabin for one evening at a campsite rate...Woo Hoo!

Now that IS a bit of good luck! So was there anything special about the inside of these cabins?

Chelly, you may want to call FW directly and ask them where the smoking cabins are located. One good thing about the cabins is that each has a little deck & table outside so you could smoke there even in a non-smoking cabin. At least that seems fine to me. Not trying to start anything.

We wre in a non-smoking cabin in 2600 close to the bus stop. I asked to be close to the bus, because 2600 is a big loop! The internal busses that take you to the marina run very frequently.

Hope it works out for you!

We've stayed in 2700 and 2500. 2500 was a short loop and close to the pool and bus stop. That was great. But there wasn't much shade on any of the decks. 2700 was a longer loop but many more trees. We walked through the 2600 loop and it looked nice, but again a big loop. So basically it depends on what you're going to be doing. We like to sit on the deck and we're a little disappointed. We were there when it was unusually hot. No deck sitting, but short walk to the pool.
