I have a 6yo DS and a 2yo DD. If we were to only do 1 character meal this trip, which one would be best?

It may help to know that my DD seems very taken by the princesses but my DS wants nothing to do with them. The characters at the playhouse disney meal aren't their faves so I'm leaning away from that one.

What do you think?

I would say there are a few possibilities:
Tusker House has most of the main characters: Donald, Daisy, etc. (This was my DS6 Fav meal of the entire week)
Ohana's: Lilo and Stitch

I would say Chef Mickey or maybe Tuskerhouse? You can't really go wrong at any breakfast with Mickey!

Ohana is also fun if your children like Lilo and Stitch.

My vote would be Crystal Palace (Pooh and Friends) followed by Tusker House. Another good one is Garden Grill. What characters are you looking to see?

I think it depends on the characters your kids like. My kids aren't into characters here at home, but I think when they are in the Disney environment, they may be. So we have booked Crystal Palace. Honestly, we chose CP because it is convenient for a day at MK. Since I don't think they will really care anyway, I didn't want to go out of the way to make an ADR out of the parks and have to worry about travel to and from, eating up our valuable park time. However, I would have loved to have gotten a Tusker House ADR. It sounds like that gets plenty of positive reviews.

We love Chef Mickey's for breakfast @ the Contemporary! It has Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, etc) I always make sure to book this one when I do my ADR's. I also recommend Tusker House for breakfast.

Tusker House. It is the favorite character meal for both DD8 and DS7. The food is excellent, the characters (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Daisy) are in safari outfits, and the location is great. We plan an early breakfast there on our AK day , then after filling up we walk a few steps and get on the Safari. :) In Dec. we were on the first truck of the day and it was amazing! (cold, but amazing.;))

I would say either Crystal Palace (Pooh and Friends) or Chef Mickeys (breakfast). They both have great food and cool characters for boys and girls. You could go to CP for any meal (i have been for lunch/dinner but i hear that breakfast is amazing and you can go in before the park opens)

crystal palace is a good buffet for both boy and girl, breakfast or dinner. its characters are pooh, tigger, eyeore, and piglet, and the character interaction is amazing.

Crystal Palace actually has pretty good food for a buffet--which is why we book it for dinner every trip! *LOL*

The character interaction is good, too. :)

We love Ohanas with Lilo and Stitch. Great character interactionand you can see the castle while you eat (at least we could). The food is great and is served family style. Crystal Palace has great character interaction, but personally we don't care for the food. Done it twice and probably will not be back. It's been years since I ate at Chef Mickeys, but would be good for a boy and a girl. Along with Tusker house and Garden Grill.

I have a boy and girl too. They both love Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Tusker House, Cape May, Garden Grill & O'hana.

While DH and I like them too, we particularly like Crystal Palace as the buffet food there is very good! We usually do it for lunch or dinner and love the location in MK.

I have 2 boys and a girl. The boys absolutely refuse to go to any restaurant where a Princess is involved. All my kids enjoyed the Ohana breakfast and dinner at Chef Mickey. Ohana is especially nice with younger children, because you don't have to go up to a buffet line for the food. This helps eliminate their concern about missing a character while they're getting food.

We like Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's.

Another possibility is the breakfast at the Grand Floridian. Pooh, Tigger, Alice, Mad Hatter, and Mary Poppins. Your DS would probably like Mad Hatter and Tigger and then your DD could meet some face characters that are pretty similar to the princesses. We haven't tried it yet, but it gets great reviews.:thumbsup2

My vote is either Donald Safari breakfast at Tusker house or Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends. We love both :cheer2:
