Whataburger

There are building a Whataburger here in Jax. It is on my way to work. What can anyone tell me about this chain? Is the food decent?

We are surrounded by Whataburgers here in Texas(they originated in Corpus Christi). Their advertising campaign is something along the lines of "Hot, fresh and made to order"--they do not cook the food until you order so everything is always hot--even the french fries. It is pretty standard stuff: burgers, chicken strips and some pretty good breakfast burritos. For fast food burgers they are pretty decent and they rarely mess up your order. Happy eating!!

You don't realize how much you love Whataburger until they close down the one in your hometown.

Their food is really good for fast food -- great burgers and chicken strips, good breakfast, and they're open 24 hours. Why it wasn't successful in a college town, I don't know. I'd love to have them back. They do make everything to order, can accommodate almost any request, and the fries are addictive.

They just opened one in Jackson here but I haven't tried it yet. We love eating there when in Texas!

Oh I miss Texas and whataburger. There sure is nothing here in ny to compare it to, maybe checkers. But my kids always loved the kids meals and they came with great toys. Still have a few somewhere out in the garage. Have fun eating.
