I really wanted POR. But this is what happened. Called first thing with the DV promo paid in full for CBR. Could have gotten a garden room at POR for 100.00 more but we have never stayed at CBR. So we figured we would give it a try.

Just switched over to pop in a standard room added the wp& more option. Kept the QSDP again and we saved over 500.00. Staying at a moderate we were giving up the WP&M option and our freedom a bit with the RDP. This has seem to work the best for us in the past. Now with the fridge or beverage cooloer going in to keep a few canned things cool. I don't think a moderate was worth it for us.

I am booked for FD in May with a pin code. I was only able to book ASSp. I have called several times and they tell me nothing anywhere else. Although when I check online I find open rooms at ASMu & ASMo, when I call and tell them this they just tell me sorry, their computer shows nothing available. A friend told me today that as long as the pin code is still active I can book online , call and add my FD pin. Is this correct

When you look online are you looking under your pin? Did you have an e-mail sent to you? Room availability is different for if you have a pin as opposed to if you are just looking for general rooms online.

If you have your pin number and can find rooms under that pin online then you can book online and call and cancel the one you already have. That is what a lot of people are doing with the current promotion. They booked ASSP but are finding availability online that they want so they book it online and then call and cancel the one they don't want.

It is not a pin that was email/snail mail. When I made the reservation, I was actually calling to see if there were any discounts for our arrival of approximately mid August or end of May. The CM told me on the phone I had a pin code for FD and gave me the dates. I did ask for the code, of which it is a 3 digit code, and I have tried that online and it doesn't work at all, including the day I called. So I'm just not sure if I make a reservation for another value resort and then call to will that work?

also just for my inquiring mind, how long can you change your resort? Does it have to be before the promotion is over? Before your 45 day window? Example say I decided to upgrade from POR to WL with FD promo but its after May 18 (thats the last day for booking this promo I think ) but before july 11(my 45 day mark) is this still possible if the rooms are available?I know I can change the resort but will I lose the FD? TIA

Nevermind I got my answer by calling disney. In case anyone is wondering, once you book it you can switch it up until the 45 day mark without issue as long as the other resort has availability for the promo. After the 45 day mark it will cost you $50 to change unless there is no change in the package total then they will not charge you any fee. I THINK he said the final cut off was 14 days out.

Originally was told by my TA that Disney was not honoring the free dining for Canadians
So I started looking around online to see what was coming up. Our first choice was to go to CSR - we did Value last year, but wanted to hang more at the resort this time, so we wanted bigger and better But CSR wasn't coming up with the free dining. So booked POFQ - checked again abit later on, and CSR was popping up Booked it online just in case then phoned and had them cancel my original trip

I think I'm in the minority but I was really excited to have the free dining work with Sports. We already had our reservation but I called yesterday about this time and was able to change from our current pin to the free dining for all three rooms - although we paid a little extra to upgrade the dining plan (which was still less expensive than booking a moderate). I went online earlier today to play around with quotes because I'm still debating on number of days on the ticket and it was bringing up Movies as an option.
We stayed at the Sports last year and loved it. One of the best perks was being the first stop for the bus at the All Star Resorts. I guess too that since we're sports fanatics the theme fits my family great.

cancelled my reservation due to the late opening dates for FD. I will be either staying at Bonnet Creek or renting a home due to the cost. I have been priced out of Disney resorts, being a family of 5.

Wanted and got POR preferred room starting 8/25. We've been to this resort 3xs so, for us, it was important to get a building location we like. I booked online around 9am Monday morning.

I second what jullluvsdisney said "I love hearing everyones story! Makes me feel like Im not the only one obsessed with my FD and my resort choice! "

We were lucky and booked on a bounceback from our room last year. I love that everyone else was sprinkled with some pixie dust too .
