I think it went over a decal on a T-shirt and now there is like a mark on the iron and sometimes that mark will appear on what I am ironing. What could I use to clean it, its kinda caked on there? I hate to have to replace it, just got it a year or so ago:(

Thanks

I use white vinegar, mixed with a little bit of water. It is amazing! I got this tip from a tv show here in the UK called "How Clean is Your House",,these two housekeepers for wealthy people go into other people's houses and tell them what slobs they are LOL,, but the tips they give are ace :)

ditto,, white vinegar is a really good cleaner and remover:) if the spot is thick, try scraping with edge of a spoon then let it rest on a rag soaked in vinegar and then iron it clean on an old towel maybe:)

The vinegar tip is a good one!
Also try ironing an old item (rag or old towel) on the highest heat setting and use steam. You may be able to iron it off ;-)

If the vinegar doesn't work, there is this stuff called "Goo Gone" that takes off adhesive and similar type stuff. You can buy it in Home Depot, and maybe in WalMart or stores like that.

Make sure you clean the iron well after you use the Goo Gone because it is oil based and then your clothes will end up with oil spots!

Or just don't iron anything anymore!!!!;)

There is also a product called Iron Off which is available at fabric stores. It is like toothpaste and you put it on a clean rag and iron over it.

Removes all kinds of things from the iron!
